I went to my great grandpa's funeral today... this song was played during it and it hasn't left my mind since. He was a vet in WW2, and after WW2 he found his wife that he was with for the rest of his life. 75 years actually. He'd always brag about her and say how much he loved doing things for her... he was such a great man...

I remember the day we buried my grandmother and I was a lector for her funeral. One of the hardest things I had ever done, not because I was nervous but because I specifically picked the reading out and was asked to read it. I remember standing their during my reading, breaking down. And as I stood there, Father was watching me and I knew they I couldn't just walk away. I end up finishing and till this day, I always say that was the hardest thing I had ever done. Then, when walking the casket out to my grandma's final resting place, they played this song. Still one of my favorites but I always bring back one of the hardest moments in my life.

One year ago my family gathered to celebrate the life of my 97 year old mom. We ended the mass with this song. It was a favorite of my moms and we would stand together and sing it at mass holding hands. A great memory. ❤️. This brought great joy and tears.
