What kdf need most isn't anti tank 85mm shells, they need javelin missiles which locks on target and never misses. That way no vbied will come near the camp to cause damage to the front line.

This is an FOB (Forward Operating Base) with elevated threat levels. The camp's perimeter did not seem very fortified. I may be wrong, but that's just how it looked. US military support should include training and use of drones for round the clock surveillance. I know they do it, but that should be a capability and expertise transferred to our chaps. Big up to our soldiers. I am sure they have seen and done a lot that we may never know.

That KDF camp, like most KDF camps, still looks like a slum. There are no fortifications to speak of, no trenches or berms. The engineering units must be asleep on the job, they don't do any civil works in Kenya, so what do they do exactly? Drone or satellite video at the end?
