I played 2 solo sessions of On Mars and really enjoyed it. I don't necessarily agree that the bot is hard. You draw a card and take the action. Build when you travel to the colony and shelter with a colony upgrade. Give it another try and it'll shine ;) ( I got 154 points vs 90 for Lacerda)

If interested, I've created an alternative solo mode that uses Lacerda's solo deck. Its called "Pathfinder" and reduces complexity/management, has tie breaking rules for all decisions, and is win-by-points (no goals). Playtesting has gone very well. Vinhos does have solo mode, but it was designed to be played with the 2016 game.

You don't get the board that the blueprints sit on. Can buy it as an extra tho, so no biggie. Otherwise exactly as you see

The bot seems much more aggressive and interesting than I gave it credit for but I still wouldn't play with it. Edward this is one of my fav games. Please give it another go. You just need to be more aggressive with your building and snatching scientists. But yes, if you aren't enjoying the experience then so be it. Shame. Maybe you can convince Jess to join you one time.
