I do think that this song fits very well with Connor, especially when paired with the amazing story-telling art, I’ve just always pictured this song as Hank’s theme myself. I feel like it explains how he felt like he had to be alone after losing Cole, and then realizes that through Connor that he doesn’t have to isolate himself out of guilt and fear of getting close to someone. Just my opinion, still an amazing animation and one of my favorites that I’ve found! :)

Truth be told I feel like letting Connor become deviant and die in the same chapter during a peaceful revolution brings out the most interesting story for his character. It's heartbreaking, but still has hope in the end and this way Connor can actually never kill anyone (not counting androids that get destroyed because of him though its possible at least not to be the one that destroys them). ive been obsessed with both the song and dbh lately(i know im very much late😔) and im greatly surprised by how much the song relates to connor's situation on the deviant path. THIS IS GOLDD the way u match the lyrics with each animation was perfect. i especially love how u connect the scenes for the last part. it was slightly different from the game but it makes so much sense that i could see it being official connor's shocked expression, letting go of the gun, running away and meeting hank with teary eyes, and the hug oh my goodnesssss🥺🥺🥺🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻 i could see how hank would comfort connor like that, maybe he doesn't know what happened but he couldn't help himself from comforting connor in that vulnerable state.
