I was a teacher many years in six California Prisons...including Women's Death Row in Chowchilla California....I am now retired and rescue dogs off the streets in Peru. In the High Andes Mountains the local tribe speak Quechua....this language sounds like animals....It's so beautiful.

By using what Goethe advocated and Steiner called Goethean observations in nature, we can truly learn what is happening in the world. It develops a real clairvoyance safely but one can think and observe one’s way towards this true ‘News.” The language of nature, of water and of forests, speaks a language we deeply mysteriously know deep in our being. It’s a lot becoming conscious of this knowledge and being within us. :-) ❤️

I am just learning about this, from Steinerian and other teachers. Charles has also talked about how there are people working in unseen ways. Western esotericists don't usually announce what they're doing or draw attention to themselves. cf. Bayo Akomolafe or even some "spiritual teachers." "What if what we are doing to solve the crisis is part of the crisis?" (i.e. much of the official narrative about climate or geopolitics)

@@cindyw7008 It's interesting, this balance of discernment as to when to speak or engage. It's an event horizon I am navigating myself. Oftentimes I feel I can "do" much more by going on a walk in nature and then someone I end up talking to tells me about some news and I wonder (and hope) at the consciousness that we share as being "the thing" that is needed. So much of what we "see" online in news, etc, is actually what is LEAVING and being distilled out of humanity. I consider that it is about letting go of misidentifications and perceptions onward towards objective reality. Thank you for your comment. I was wondering if I should go on a walk or check on news first. I am inspired to go walking. 🥰

Brilliant. Thanks for that. Fasting in general (food, light, socializing etc.) seems to be the medicine of our age. I love the poetry of a universe where the most powerful thing one can do for one's health and evolution can quite literally be nothing.

Are people still watching the news? Much love, Charles!

I pretty much avoid media as much as I can in order to preserve my sanity. I subscribe to historian Heather Cox Richardson's newsletter Letters from an American, in which she summarizes current events using several sources. In addition to the news items of note, she offers great historical context that makes the current events make more sense. This is a lifesaver because she allows me to avoid the sensationalism of the media. I don't want to be completely uninformed but I know that ultra processed media is harmful to my body and spirit the same way too much ultra processed junk food is harmful to my body.

We think we have to do something but I have found just being present with people has great value. Once you decide to do that it turns out it's easier than you think.

I need to go on a KZbin fast for a year. I'm addicted to outrage and gossip. It's rare that I use the platform for anything useful like learning how to fix something or cook something.

You can change the algorithm quickly. You found this right? There so much beauty, wisdom, great music and laugh out loud fun on youtube and yes, simple delish food. Commercial free is best and worth the 12/mo. Unsubscribe from all the junk, Not to suggest watching endless cat videos or old Ram Dass clips all day is good either, all things in moderation.
