AWESOME BILL! It pleases me greatly to know someone somewhere is still finding use of my videos. I have been told that in order to view my older videos a person must go to my playlist and "sort by oldest first" to see them all because many of them are quite old. Just an FYI my friend. Right back at you on wishing me the very best. May rides be many and your troubles be few brother! Peace indeed! Puc

PUC !..I NEED YOUR WISDODM... IS IT POSSIBLE TO REMOVE THE REAR SHOCK WHEN THE BKE IS ON IT'S CENTERSTAND ? {I DONT HAVE A LIFT OR A BIKE JACK}...ALSO, I AM CONTEMPLATING OMITTING THE CLASS SYSTEM AND HAVING A SCHRAEDER VALVE ON THE REAR SHOCK TO PUMP IT UP....WHAT SAY YOU ?...THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH...BILL KING

@@billking698 Hi Bill. Yessiree, should be able to pull the rear shock with the bike on the center stand. If I were going to do it I would center stand it and then work a 2x6 under the center stand to give it a little more height. I keep a section of 2x6 cut to length to fit in my saddle bag just for such occasions. Its especially nice for rear wheel removal if/when the need arises at road side. Takes a little finesse to hold the bike at an angle and weasle the end of the board under each leg and I have my wife bang on the board to knock the board under the 2nd foot of the stand but its doable. After pulling the rear wheel just remove the pivot joint under the shock. Then remove the right plastic side cover from the bike and weasle a socket in from the right side to the top shock mount bolt. I have done before on a few occasions and cant remember if I had to do the same on the left side but I dont think so. I give you two thumbs up on the disconnecting the air pump system and installing the single line feed with a shrader. Although nice (out of my 6 MK1's 1 of them was a Royale with all the fixings and I did like the air ride) I always like keeping things as simple as possible for touring. Less to break was ALWAYS a plus in my mind. Your bike has the dampner adjustment for the rear shock on the left side correct? On the standards the shrader is mounted right next to that dampner knob with a line going back to the shock. I wouldnt be surprised to either find a hole already there for the line/shrader on yours or a place to mount it. Yeah,, I say go for it Bill.

Indeed. I have to either have help to stand it up, or figure out how to carry a front wheel chock on a road trip. Not real happy about that idea. Engineers should think about how their design is going to be used. A center stand would fix all of that though. Not an accessory available somehow.

Hey Puc, your knowledge of these bikes has been a great help to me in the past so I thought I would ask again. I took my bike out for the first time this season (84 XVZ 1200) and road it to work and on the way home the computer monitor flickered and then went out completely. I check all the fuses and there is power getting to the unit. Do you have any suggestions?

hi guy, this lamp is working all the time. My garage tell me its not necessary. The problem is on the filter Sorry my english is bad
@pucpuc9374 жыл бұрын
Sorry I am late to this PaleRider.. Your garage is telling you correctly.. The "lamp" is not an oil pressure lamp,, it is a float switch that simply tells you that you have oil in the oil pan.. Does that make sense?

hi i like your videos and i am looking for a ignition box for my 84 you have any good working one ??
@pucpuc9374 жыл бұрын
Hi Mohamed and thank you for the compliment on my vids! Glad you are enjoying them my friend. Concerning your need for an ignition box on your 84. The 83's that I ride had a different box than the 84's so I can't help you there. You might go to VentureRider.org, sign up for a free 30 trial period and post up a question there to see if someone has one. Its a great site of which I have belonged for many years,, tell them Cowpuc (thats me) sent you.. One of the issues I have ran across thru the years is that, due to the location of the box (under the battery box) is the ignition boxes tend to get moisture in them. I have had to bake a couple of mine thru the years to get them to function = 125 degrees in the oven for a few hours works great.. If this does not work, it is possible to open it up and clean/replace diodes = this is very common and a full explaintion of how to can be found on VentureRider.. Hope this helps!! Puc
