I played Sharpay in this musical my Freshman year. I was fourteen when I got her, and it was a shock to me, I totally expected to get ensemble, but I was the only non-Senior in a lead role. It was an amazing show, one of the best experiences of my life. I even ended up dating the Senior who played Ryan’s younger brother and became friends with a bunch of the others actors. Stick to the Status Quo is easily my favorite song. I post a video of me singing every Saturday (it’s a series called Saturday is for Singing) and I’m doing a tribute to High School Musical where I sing all parts of this song. I’ve never had a greater appreciation for music breaks in my life… I’m so out of breath!!
