Correction: It does specifically say in Olimar's notes in 4 that the Puffstool releases a hallucinogenic compound. It also is difficult to define if Kageyamii matriarchia can even be considered a subspecies of the Red Bulborb. Though it has a different subspecies name in game. It's Larve cannot be identified until they are developed enough to express the characteristics that define the other subspecies. It would ultimately be decided if other variants of Empress Bulblax were observed. Lastly the classification of pikmin is slightly different than you sugested. The Candypop buds are directly related to pikmin and the rock pickmin, ice pikmin and highly likely bulbmin fall under the classification of hermikmin.

those are compelling points! though I am choosing to hold the classification in pikmin 4 as gospel, which is why I've classified them as such; similarly pikmin 4 classifies rock and ice pikmin into the same family and genus as the rest of the pikmin, while bulbmin are listed under a different genus, that is why I classified them that way

@@Szangg Fair. Though the only true conformation of such taxonomy would be if Bulbmin did exist in 4. Also I noticed an interesting detail when looking up a few things. Olimar states that the Creeping Chrysanthemum is in the same Class as pikmin.

@@wizardii4961 yea I noticed that line the pikmin 2 piklopedia, the Plant chart only goes up to family level, because they were all in the same class anyway but I guess I could've made that more clear

I think that the Arachnorbs are insects rather than spiders. They belong to the genus Pseudoarachnia, which literally translates as fake-arachnid, and Olimar's entry on Beady also states that it derives from an insectoid lineage. Olimar's entry on the Arachnode suggests that it's closely related to Dweevils and Arachnorbs, meaning that the Arachnode and Weevils would be insects as well.
