I wish all products on the planet had the pride of fluke. High quality, sturdy, simple, accessible, fair price.

On your updated video on the safety recall, can you share your experience on how Fluke handled it? Did Fluke provide a prepaid shipping label? How long did they have your meter or did they swap it out for a new one?
@ThriftyToolShed3 жыл бұрын
Sorry, I thought I mentioned mine was not in the recall list. I was just sharing for those that may be affected by it. No experience with it, just wanted to share the information. Thanks for your comment.

How much distance range from mobile to clampmeter??

I have a fluke 376 fc but i measured the insulation between the fluke terminals and the insulation resistance measurement is less than 1 megohm, is this normal? since I understand that the measurement should be 10 mega ohms
@ThriftyToolShed2 жыл бұрын
Typically the Input Impedance of a fluke is around 10M. How are you testing this? Using another DMM reading ohms is not a good way to test this.
@ScreggaeaficionBw2 жыл бұрын
@@ThriftyToolShed I used insulation meter. I registered 0.9Mohm between the terminals of my fluke 376fc. I dont know if that value is correct for this class of Fluke. Thx for your help. Cancelar Responder

Ok, I know you have issues injecting a voltage in and trying to read since the meter is also generating a small voltage to read also. I know a way of injecting a AC low voltage signal and then using a resistor in series you can find the voltage divide and that will be the exact input impedance. I found a video that explains this if interested. kzbin.info/www/bejne/sGnSm2eBZ9SphdU

Hello did you know the model number of the pouch your clamp meter?
@ThriftyToolShed3 жыл бұрын
Hi, I sure don't. I do not see it for sale separately at least at this time. It is very similar to the Fluke C25 case. This one that comes with the Clamp meter is a little bit larger, but close. This one is also one of the few they made with the side handle? My case dimension is roughly 10"x5"x3".

What's the Bluetooth range? Thanks
@ThriftyToolShed5 жыл бұрын
Hi, great question. I can not find much information about the Bluetooth range. It may be because it is so many variables especially in industrial environments. But I will state now from my experience I have never had a issue where it was out of range. So I ran a few test and it seemed to easily be 30' away and still trend and stay connected, sometimes much further than that it would disconnect. But around MCC areas, inside of metal cabinet/panel doors shut for safety and even different mezzanine level I had no issues. Hope it helps!

Just ordered one of these. I have some customers who want to know current draw over a period of time(say 24-48hours) of certain 20a or 220v appliances/hot tubs. How long will this graph for? Also, am I reading right that Fluke charges to use the app too? I thought it was free? Will the clamp on this read AC Voltage or do you have to probe for that? Thanks in advance.
@ThriftyToolShed4 жыл бұрын
You have to use leads/probe for voltage. I just use free app version, it does alot but the paid version does more with maintenance related task, I am not sure how long it will record, I have used mine got several hours so far, not days yet. I don't see a limit other than storage or connection to device?

I don’t even know how to use one of these but have the chance to get one brand new for half price, hard to resist.

@KSMike14 жыл бұрын
Not great in my experience. Maybe 10’ reliably. A little more depending on how much obstruction there is.
@ThriftyToolShed4 жыл бұрын
It ts been impressive for me. It will read through the enclosure which is much expected, but it's really handy and I have used it up to 25' with just a few obstructions with no issues. It's really handy if reading from a mezzanine level above etc.

Will it read leakage current?
@ThriftyToolShed4 жыл бұрын
Well it is not designed to read in the mA range for smaller leakage currents, but it surely could read anything including leakage current that is above say 1 Amp or so. This meters specialty is reading the higher amperage! It will also do it safely with the remote monitoring capabilities of the fluke connect if needed.

@@ThriftyToolShed Thanks for the quick response. I appreciate it. No ua isn't a deal breaker for me. It will do everything else I need in HVAC. It will also consolidate my Fluke 116 and my Fluke 323 amp clamp into 1 unit. That's the real reason I want it anyway. Checking ua on a flame sensor is over rated and unnecessary anyway.
@ThriftyToolShed4 жыл бұрын
I know exactly what you are talking about. I mentioned in one of my last repair videos about the 87 and 77 on my bench. I mentioned the HVAC guys sometimes find the micro amps handy on the 87. I used to adjust flames on big industrial dryers with my 87using UA range. Have not used it in close to 15 years now though.

do you mesure the Dc voltage 0-1000 on the mv setting? or is that mv setting only for mv. I dont see DC volt setting
@ThriftyToolShed5 жыл бұрын
Clockwise from bottom is AC Voltage then the second one is DC Voltage. V with the dashed and straight line is for DC.
