Hi! I'm sorry about the problem. Everything is fine here, it's just that the channel got hacked and the hackers deleted everything. Great to hear from you and have a great weekend!

I use my 376fc daily, not a fan of only being able to get hz readings from the amp reading settings. There should be a setting to read hz from the vac setting by pressing the function button just like the 87v, 189 and 289.

Hey buddy! Hoping you can help me with a clamp meter. I dont know much but truly looking to learn! I want to purchase a clamp meter under 200 for AC AND DC current I'm looking for something SAFE/WELL PROTECTED and capable of reading AC AND DC current from .5 amps to 60 amps as accurately as possible through the clamp. Do you have 1,2 or 3 suggestions. I was looking at the Klein cl800 but someone told me it will not read AC AND DC current through the clamp down to half amp accurately..... THANKS FOR ANY HELP YOU CAN PROVIDE ME
@ДОМИНАНТНЫЙМАЧО3 жыл бұрын
the higher current you measure the less accurate results. The lower the more accurate. 1% at 100 amp will give you about 1amp accuracy. So it could be 99amp or 101 amp
@marsa743 жыл бұрын
This device, and many other clamp meters as well, has only 1 digit after the decimal point. Hence, you cannot distinguish between 1,44 A and 1,4 A. But you can distinguish between 14,4 A and 14 A, which means a 0,1% accuracy can only be reached for higher currents > = 10 A. This seems to be the primary use case for this and other clamp meters. Fluke has another clamp meter that resolves lower currents with higher accuracy but I guess it will become difficult with a < 200 bucks budget for the range you mentioned.

What is the yellow ZERO selection on the meter?
@marsa743 жыл бұрын
This is for reminding you to hit the yellow button at least once to set the zero current baseline when measuring DC current.

In the first measurement with the clamp it measured a value and then with the iflex it measured another value.
@SparkyChannel3 жыл бұрын
Yes, I noticed that as well.
@Impedancenetwork2 жыл бұрын
Yeah, the meter/built-in clamp has an accuracy spec and a repeatability spec. It is impossible for 1, 2, 3 or 5 of the same meters to measure exactly the same current. And one more factor comes into play. The clamp on the meter is a different type of current device than the flexible probe. That flex probe is a Rogowski coil that is going to have it's own accuracy and repeatability specs so there is no way unless you get lucky that they will read the same current measure as the built in clamp.

will it read micro amps?
@alexandredumoulin88684 жыл бұрын
This is incorrect; this clamp cannot read small current. Anything under 0.2-0.3A is in the lowest range; the meter has no smaller range.
@llVIU4 жыл бұрын
since alexandre said no, I'm going to suggest you get a long wire and make 10 coils, this will amplify your amps by 10 times. So if it reads 32 amps, it's 32/10 = 3.2 amps.
@freedomisntfree1314 жыл бұрын
@@llVIU I understand how to do that. As an HVAC Service Tech, it is rarely possible to check flame sensors like that. Flame sensor wires are almost never long enough for that.
@alexandredumoulin88684 жыл бұрын
@@llVIU's trick is correct but requires the ability to coil the cable to measure in several loops and inserting the clamp within the loops.

I measured current using iFlex on a run of 3 conductors connected to single node (Red phase), The connection was similar to demo shown in video; the measurements were proximality 290A on a single phase whereas when I doubled the turn of iFlex in order to obtain precise reading as showing in official channel of fluke at following link: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qqXMZYakgc9-ha8 Surprisingly, I noted that the current doubled exactly. Can anyone explain me which measurement method is correct, single turn of iFlex or Double turn?
@GuyFromJupiter2 жыл бұрын
Either is perfectly valid. The measurement made without doubling the iflex around the wire is the correct value. Doubling the iflex will always read double the actual current being measured, which can actually be quite useful if you are trying to measure a rather small amount of current. This is exactly the same as making multiple turns of a wire through the jaws of a clamp meter.

it measures hertz not frequency just like how a tape measure measures inches, not distance
@Impedancenetwork2 жыл бұрын
I think you have that wrong. It does measure frequency. The units of frequency are Hertz. Your tape measure does not measure inches. It measures length in units of inches.
