Retirement, haters, guns, and Magnum Condoms. It's all in there and much more. Jereme probably hasn't been in the building since he and Girl parted ways back in '07. It was nice to catch up.

the only thing that made me sad throughout this whole interview, was the fact that he said skateboarding wasn't fun to him anymore..A dude that had so much talent to just say no more, just kills. Especially to the skating community. Every skater out there is giving their all day in day out. Destroying themselves for the thing they love..and he just stopped loving..the thing that made him who he was..The people who don't respect his decision need to just calm down. He made his call, and lived through it all..Now, he'll just be in the hall.

It's one thing to not love it anymore and it's another thing to hate it. I think if he had real maturity he would've realized that he is able bodied and gifted in his craft. He makes money that doesn't come easy but it does for him based on his position in the industry. His exit and just the reason for it in general was a joke and people laughed as such. Don't you remember when he tried to come back? He kooked himself so hard he couldn't come back again. He took it for granted and he got what he asked for. Period.

That was contrived as well. Can't force style man... There was nothing wrong with his REAL style.

People disliked this guy for getting into music smh lol whats the difference of someone in the skateboard industry making a rock band and Jereme rapping? Nothing. Tbh no one has anything to prove, skate for fun and don't worry about what anyone else is doing.

Compared to recent interviews he was very down to earth in this. I appreciate Jereme's honesty about his situation and respect his being open about it
@dannyhengel76459 жыл бұрын
+desertpiggott he goes from saying he enjoys "being poor and having fun than being rich and depressed" and then says "wish I was on RedBull because it has the biggest paycheck". on top of it forces the most contrived and fake "laughter" in order to appear humble. He is the opposite of "down to earth".....
@desertpiggott9 жыл бұрын
+Danny Hengel I'm comparing this interview to recent others with him not him to what people define as "down to earth". In other interviews I always felt he was trying to come off as a rich rapper (an example being he has mentioned multiple times that he bought his Austin Martin off the lot) so it was nice to see him answer these questions pretty honestly. When you do as well as he did for so long I imagine it sucks to have to admit to people that you're broke and I respect the fact that he admitted that. That level of honesty may not be out of place for everyone but it seemed to be new for him and i liked seeing that.

+John Hill he admits to being broke and enjoying "being happy and poor" but then goes on to say he would still like to be on the RedBull tip because "it pays the biggest paycheck"....ok? His forced laughter only further solidifies his contrived and fake behavior behind his facade of being "worth 50 mil" ..nooooo... he's not "honest" he's fake as fuck. the point JR made that really bothered me was the fact that he complained about shooting an ad down a 10 stair when he would rather be making music, driving him to quit skating. Everyone needs to do shit they don't want to do in order to pay the bills/succeed/or excel. What a completely childish and immature way to handle your career. Use this dude's life as motivation. If you don't work hard and just do what you feel like doing all the time, you may end up broke as a joke like Jereme Rodgers.

He legit lived with Paul Rodriguez and skated with him everyday, I saw them at reseda skating the flat bar really good switch skate tricks, and they were always together back then in the valley. I mean Paul Rodriguez is one of the best skateboarders of all time and he is mellow doesn’t act like a tough guy and is approachable and decent to people he has a good reputation and is respected worldwide. Jereme took himself so seriously and did have the big wheels on big vehicles and the baggy white t’s with the chain on just all baller style and he was in the valley a lot but I think he is from Boston or something. Anyway he was just a kid back then I don’t know how I would react if I got put on and was hanging with Paul and making bucks like that, that’s a lot of pressure. Throw in some girls and some coke and off you go. Hard to toe the line and easy to have an identity crisis it seems to happen all the time. It’s rad to see he doesn’t take himself so seriously now he was really good you don’t get on Girl for nothing. You dudes are all world famous legendary skaters trend setters and thought bosses.
