Great idea with the eye bolts! Do you remember what size they were? I have the same jack plate on my gheenoe and love it 👍🏻

Sorry about that but I dont remember. You can take out the little hex head bolt that comes with the jack plate to your hardware store and throw a nut on it there then find the corresponding stainless eye bolt that it will fit on. I'm not good enough to eyeball it lol

Matt. Thanks for the tips on the jackplate. Very helpful. What model Gheenoe is it installed on? Thanks. Vic

The 15'4 version. part of me thinks I want the 15'6 classic version for more stability and a wider back but that one is also 100lbs heavier and the weight is a big difference maker for how I use mine

@@mgsfishing Thanks for the info re your Gheenoe. I have a 13' that I currently power with a Torqueedo 1003 and the jackplate would be very helpful in finding the most efficient and useful settings for this combo. In theory, the modest setback of the jackplate should improve top end speed slightly . Have you noticed this effect? Thanks again.
@mgsfishing2 жыл бұрын
@@victorheckler2191 I did not notice a speed difference except for the fact that you can run faster in shallow water because you don't have to trim the motor as far up which keep the back end of the boat from bogging down under power

Love the set up! Do you by chance know the bolt hole spacing through the transom? Cant find any dimensions online and my transon akresd has a jack plate, just looking to upgrade to this one haha

Hey I don't know but call the number on the on the fly website. The owner is very responsive and great to talk to. Super helpful. I will tell you to attatch it to the transom as high as you can, mount the motor as high as you can and use short shaft motor. It will help you run skinny

Those 2 bolts on the side of the jack plate, you didn’t know what they were for are for the mounting brackets for power poles.

For 600 it should not rust

Yeah I thought the same but its just a trailer type jack they use to raise it up and down. The plates themselves dont rust
