From my recent trip up there the waves look they are breaking across Greenmount and Coolangatta, which is in fact the same stretch of beach. Too far down to be Snappers and Kirra break wall is not in view either.

They need to do something better. They been gifted waves. What about doing a old skool reverse take off then at the base of the wave do a reverse turn straight into the tube like a kamakasi.
