I can so relate to what you said about watching people get older and seeing the changes in the area. I go back to my family in Holland every 2 years or so and although I see them in pictures and whatsapp videos and Skype chats, it's not the same as seeing them in person.

I just loved this vlog. It reminds me of when my husband and I went to visit his family in Macedonia. Everyone has a vegetable and flower garden and fruit trees, it's just wonderful. Thanks for sharing your special moments of your vacation.

Some English speaking people have no interest in learning another language.I have been to lot of countries in Europe. I try to learn a bit, however, there is no way you can be fluent, just going on holiday. You have to live in that country.

This reminds me so much of India...simple, friendly, love feeding others, balcony dinners, gardens, weather...everything is the same. I LOVE IT! Hi Laura and Joe, love watching your videos of Italy, I was born near Avellino, so it feels like home watching you guys and listening the Napoletano dialect. Live in Toronto, Canada now for 40 years, and finally brought my kids to Italy last summer, and visited Naples, Capri, and Pompei, which was one of our favourite excursion. Joe you have to learn more Italian! by the way, is Joe from Italian background, cause the last name sounds Italian.

Loving your vlogs from Italy, Laura and Joe! I went to an International Music Festival with our school band when I was in high school, but we stayed mostly about two hours North of Rome.We placed second in the festival, and after playing for judges, and then putting on concerts during the first week, we toured around the second week. We did take a day trip to Naples, which was awesome! Great to see your family again, and they are all looking so well! I almost choked when Joe mentioned that Sal's eyebrows were "on fleek"! So random but as you were walking around downtown Naples you passed a sign with my last name on it "Leonetti" My father's side of the family is Neapolitan but it's not a very common name here in California so it was such a treat to see it during your trip :)

I live by the deptford area, the tornado was TERRIBLE. So many outages, although my house did not lose power, a friend's house lost power for 8 days according to the county... We saw the tornado and the eye of it from the Somerdale/Voorhees area. Glad everyone is safe.

Joe, you are right. My husband goes to Guanajuato, Mexico every year and last December he noticed the difference with his 100+ year old grandpa. The year before he was very talkative and stronger and last year he changed!

Laura, your bringing me back to my childhood. My father had a large garden along with a peach tree, plum and cherry trees. We had a pear tree us kids use to climb and pick the pears for the Italian aunts. My Dad would make his wine with his grapes too. Awwww those were the days. You don't realize it when your 12 yrs old but when your 55 and the older folks are gone you appreciate those days. Thanks bring me back in time.

Yes, some serious storms came through here last week. Here in south central PA, there were some funnel clouds spotted. The next day we were cleaning up tree branches and such. Guys, buy whole coffee beans, grind them in a food processor and make your coffee in a press-pot or strain hot water trough a sieve with a cloth. Taste like 50x better as from the coffee machine and you can count the process as part of the coffee enjoyment time ;)

When you said some trees were uprooted did you mean at home or the nursery? I hope you didn't get any damage since it would be hard to tend to while out of the country! I live in Mantua and while we were VERY lucky and sustained no damage, many people in our town and others nearby had roofs ripped off and trees that fell onto cars or into homes. I'll try to post a picture to your FB page if I remember!
