Since I started riding again the last 5 years, ive mostly been going solo, the people I meet on the trail these days are who I ride with. Comparing my early years to what ive seen the last 5 years, its proven that this sport is for absolutely everyone. Ive ridden with overweight 40+ year old ladies who went for a ride with their son once and liked it, bought a second hand mtb and now ride every day and launch themselves off jumps. Ive ridden with 12 year old girls and their mates who have more balls than me in hitting all the big features flawlessly. Im honoured to have seen this sport evolve from what it was 20 years ago, to was it is now. This video is a great reflection of that, seeing the 'mainstream media' show what this sport is actually about, and represent how it is evolving in real life, is just awesome. Mad props Redbull, for that and many other things you have done for mountain biking. PS: these ladies are total shredders

This makes me really happy! For so many reasons. As a 20 year rider, pushing a half century, I've been enjoying "progressive" in nature, videos like this. These athletes aren't beginners by no stretch, but clearly they are pushing their own, and eachothers limits. 🤘🤘

Dunno am kinda impressed by ANYONE who can just get down the Rampage course without wrecking. Also maybe a lot of peeps around at the moment never saw what the early Rampages where like, i did cause am an old fart who still freerides when he should probs be in bath chair .... NEWS FLASH the 1st years of the best men on the planet running the course looked not much different from this. Like the men did in the early years the sistas need some exposure and some time to get used to this course, evolution requires an arena to develop in. Am happy to see them getting the chance to try and work it out.

@@Blowfeld20k exactly. check out videos of Rampage in 2001, lots of crashing and just testing out what's possible.
@mikisno3 жыл бұрын
@@bassman87 I mean courses are very much different right? You're comparing almost RAW terrain to this shaped jumps.. Like just check it out urself. I mean It's insanely good that they're doing such a event for women, but that looks gnarly and some of them look like not prepared for that at all :P but of course huge respect to them for doing that!!
