I usually programme games and listen to music on the side. But when I heard this, I had to stop everything I was doing. And look who the hell can transport so much emotion into a piece of music. You are not just playing something, you are the music itself in the truest sense of the word. Absolutely fantastic.

Listening to this, it sounds so simplistic, but there's the irony. A.K., I agree with your sentiment wholeheartedly. I love to watch and listen to this man bring something to life. It's like his instrument is a piece of him - an appendage of sorts that's attached to his heart. Have you heard him cover Ludovico Einaudi's Nuvole Bianche, yet? It will not disappoint.

It's so interesting how music brings out different emotions. Last night I heard this song for the first time in the movie Arrival. After, I put it on Spotify and hopped on the bed with one of our dogs, he gave me that deep soulful stare that dogs have and we were connected in a weird way I can't explain. He got so licky and was kissing me so much, I got tears in eyes and smiled uncontrollably through three repeats of the song. I don't recall the last time I was overcome with happiness like that. Truly amazing piece of music.

"On the nature of daylight" is such an iconic piece (Shutter island, Arrival), and your rendition is meticulously accurate as much as it is heartfelt and moving. Superb. I play guitar, and understand the myriad of factors surrounding skillful playing, including vibrato, attack, clarity of notes, etc... Very few guitar players demonstrate mastery of the instrument, imho. I don't count myself among their ranks, not even close. I can only imagine how much more difficult it is to produce music on the cello and violin, so devoid of the distractions of error. This playing is masterful.
