Omg that surgery looks imposible! Knitting socks is addictive, for the past 2.5 years 90% of my projects are socks, since I learnt how to do them. I mostly do vanilla socks and use german cast on.

Haha it was ok! For better or worse I have more experience fixing mistakes than a knitter reasonably should 😅. Thanks for the tips, I'll have to try a cuff-down sock at some point.
