This video gave me the kind of joy I had listening to Strange Beautiful Music in High school. Satch has that particular weighty tone with that almost subdued wah sound. And that groove you guys laid down is just like stomping through the yard after a rainstorm. So dope.

Was anyone else sad to hear Cory say he wouldn't be playing guitar solos anymore? I get it, he's great at so many other things (songwriting, being a front man, collabing) and he does not need to do it all, but I'm always looking forward to getting to hear him continue to grow as an improviser. I hope he feels like returning to it someday!

Of all of my favorite guitar players, Satch is the ONLY one who can play to the " character " of ANY song. I swear. . .I get to hear ( and sometimes transcribe ) so many players when they play on their own albums or even guest star on someone else's material. While there are so many great players out on our planet, Satriani really gets the importance of how soloing can add so much depth to any style of music. Great video!!

That right there is a testimony you, Cory Wong, grew up in da "hood..." The analogy is a dumping the amount of "feces" that saturates 1/3 of the largest ocean in the world: "THE PACIFIC OCEAN!!!" That is how "stank" it is. The low end is a beauty to listen to. Sonny reminds me so much of "Rustee Allen." I am still bopping my head...
