Well, you reviewed it so I have to have it. I mean, as a member of the Robinson Crusoe Voyage of the Beagle development team, you know how I feel about this subject matter. Remember Marion, our German VotB playtesting master? She sent me a copy of this game for my birthday! She wrapped this game herself with a pretty bow and mailed it to the US from Germany! Very much look forward to getting this to my table, with your video tutorial help of course.

Brilliant! Marion has spoiled you; what a treat! I am sure you'll love it; it has been a highlight of the year for me. I have modified the rules slightly since I did the solo video (check my website for the latest), but only very slightly; it was an idea put forward by the designers after they reviewed my solo rules: play with the habitat decks face-up. It adds a new layer of puzzle for the soloist, but of course swings the game a little in our favour too. Have fun playing! R.R.

Nice mate …this finally came back in stock today in my regular French store and I instantly ordered it …despite saving my gaming budget for a big purchase due in September but this game art is incredible and irresistible…lol…I do love games that involve these types of mechanisms …did you post your solo variant anywhere ? I must confess I haven’t searched yet but perhaps you might give me a heads up if you have time( doh just seen it in header section lol) …been really enjoying your play through of Xia too, great game and I purchased a great foam core insert for Xia which makes set up so much easier and keeps the table top much less chaotic, the insert allows for sleeved cards and all current expansions too…best Ric

Hey, great job mate...one question (not sure if I missed it) but how does collecting the matching species from the board or evolution track relate to the species on the top half of the objective card when it comes to scoring? Thanks for the effort!! Played my first disjointed round this evening lol

Good question. This is for the Advanced Game scoring: you score victory points based on how many matching ones you collect (see bottom of page 11 in the rulebook).
