Adam,Try fishing on the steps below Skeldergate bridge using exactly the same method.I’ve not fished that spot for years since the parking fees came in but it was always brilliant for autumn and winter Roach fishing.Especially on the bread punch.We got odd Bream on it too.😉

Keep your casters in a bait tub of water in a cool place or a fridge change the water everyday , they will last up to two weeks +Jon Arthur does this
