Thanks for the review! I think you were spot on with some of your criticisms, and we appreciate the attention, care, and specificity of your critiques. Our next album drops sometime this year, so we're hoping you like that one more 🙂

The most notable artist that Alanis has influenced is definitely Avril Lavigne, I mean Under My Skin is basically Jagged Little Pill’s younger sister that just discovered Hot Topic, it’s significantly less sophisticated lyrically (which is where my “younger sister” metaphor comes in), has softer vocals but heavier instrumentation and its production takes cues from nu metal and post grunge instead of trip hop, but the point is they’re both easily the most notable alternative adjacent female pop rock albums of their respective time periods

I’m glad I ain’t the only who loves Creeper’s new album so much, if you really like Punk with goth storytelling then you’ll probably enjoy it :)

Really wish the new Creeper album had a more smooth album cycle. Pandemic notwithstanding, releasing your lead single for an album 8 months in advance is too long. Really good release but I feel like the hype could have been way more real if this was handled better.

Consodering the little intro you did for Alanis and since you said what did we get from this o feel like you originally wanted to do that as a standalone review Idk why but I was bothered that you didn't state what album you wanted more time with

Hmm I gotta hard disagree on Superbloom. I agree that it is filled with the new wave textures that can be real stale in pop, I think the more subdued nature of it is partially from the gloomy subject matter of it all, and I wouldn't even say it's flat. There are alot of wonderful arrangements. Whywhywhy is pretty much the only song I felt was kinda bland, everything else hit me just right. It's less "colorful" but it still feels vibrant with soaring moments. Personally an aoty contender for me.

Thanks for the video, not a lot of albums here I heard, funnily enough all 3 that I heard are last 3 here, but anyway: Imperial Triumphant- I'm a sucker for this kind of weird experimental and creative metal and to me it hit all the spots, I think I even like it more than their last project Vile Luxury, which was also pretty solid. I give it 8.5-9/10, definuitely an AOTY contender for me. Alanis Morissette- I was surprised by how much I liked this one. Don't get me wrong, I like Alanis, Jagged LIttle Pill is classic and that interlude she has on last Halsey album was great, but her albums mostly tends to be hit or miss, so I wasn't quite sure what to expect from this one. While it's a bit too ballad heavy for my taste, writing and instrumentation more than makes out for it (they don't make for pretty lfieless production, but I still can listen and enjoy the album, just not as much as I think I would). 7.5/10 Creeper- it doesn't have song that I love as much as Misery (which is my favorite Creeper song), but as an album, honestly, at first I thought that I like Eternity in Your Arms more, but the more I listen new record the less I think I stand by that opinion. This record is more creative, it's catchy as sin, it's interesting and while maybe songs like Black Rain are harder bops, doesn't change that this album bangs hard too. I saw some people saying that they were disappointed by this album because it's not Eternity In Your Arms Pt 2: Electric Eternaloo and people who loved it more because it doesn't sound like Eternity In Your Arms and yeah, I get both, but I think I'm, in second camp, because I see this change of sound as evolution while still having that Creeper sound to them. Sophomore slump avoided succesfully. 8-8.5/10

When Imperial Triumphant released Vile Luxury in 2018, I hated it, much to the dismay of literally every other metalhead i know. I gave them abother chance with Alphaville, and I mean it's certainly better than I remember Vile Luxury being, but it still isn't great, and for something that's being pegged as incredubly unique and special, i just don't have much to say about it, and It's not even that I don't like really progressive and avant-garde metal because I do, this band just does not really do it for me. 😬 There were a few good tracks though. I think Creeper just aren't my thing. Their whole aesthetic is just a bit too cheesy and theatrical for me, and while I can look past that if the hooks are strong enough, that doesn't happen often.

@@DashieNegan41 exactly. Alanis at least writes her lyrics well and maturely. Swift writes 15-year-old songs for 15-year-old girls. There is no comparison.
