First mech engine failure/inflight fire ever tonight, shortly after takeoff. After the "WTF!" moment, I was able to maintain control, jettison stores, unable to extinguish the fire, and successfully RTB'd. Found your video afterward and patted myself cautiously on the back. I did the most important things first (exc EJECT) and missed on the SAS, and engine override. This video is now in my DCS Bible! Thanks!

Awesome video! I'm unable to play DCS at the moment, so watching someone play it properly is something I really enjoy. Thank you for posting.

Hi! Really appreciate your great instructional videos! I love your relaxed but professional style. I'd like to practice dealing with an engine fire in the A10C. How do I set one up in the editor? The engine failure doesn't work for me (no failure occurs) and I dont see an option for ENG fire. Thanks!

Thanks bro,I managed to figure out some of this, but this helped a lot. I set my bird setting quite high , so I "hit" birds often on landing, and take off, especially near the coast. I enjoy it when things go wrong, hehehe, I am a sucker for punishment.

Thanks for the nice and informative vid! Do you know if DCS models fuel weight/gravitational forces in x-feed case? Is there any situation where you would need to transfer more fuel to the other side and if so, would you need to keep banking to make fuel flow left or right?

antimonni You know, I'm not sure. I'll do some research and try to do a video this weekend.

how long can the APU run like that? I wouldn't imagine very long in real life?
