I understand when Clara says…you feel like you belong! I feel the same way. I feel privileged to be able to be part of this family of truck drivers and very happy that I am blessed to be surrounded by great men who are willing to help and are very respectful and kind. I’m not a long haul driver; I transport wood chips but still, this new career is making me very proud to be part of this fraternity. It might be intimidating at first, but no more. It takes very strong women to do what Clara and Liszt are doing. I clearly don’t have the courage necessary to do that! :) Hats off to you ladies!

I am an Australian Heavy Combination driver myself and most folks only last 6 months in the industry before quitting. It is not lack of money, there is good money to be made. It is the lack of social life, the fatigue on days off you feel where you need a solid days rest to start to feel on a normal level of energy again. It is a harder job than many realise. It is not just steering a wheel like you steer a car. You are always reading traffic and predicting with high accuracy what people are going to do and not do. You are regulated to a high degree with fines that would make a millionaire start to weep. To all brothers and sisters of the road. Safe travels.

Glad for you that you can say the money is good in your country... Here in the USA most Drivers are lucky to average minimum wage....I need to explain than often over one half of the tasks are unpaid...Basically Free but being preformed by the Driver...Pre Trip and Post Trip Inspections..Tires...loading and unloading...Fingerprinting...Breaking down and re-stacking...pallets to please the shipper and receiver....Tarping and un tarping....securing and un securing the loads....spotting trailers ...sweeping out empty trailers.endless waiting to load and unload..and driving deadhead miles... That is why there is this imaginary US Driver Shortage...

That robbing men's and their police colleagues should be punished worst to protect drivers either it's women or men driver they work to fullfill their needs by some work, and Robbing them is a worst act, government should need to take care of the people on their roads by CCTV, SOS with honest police patrol to stops this scary violence.
