I don't think tom has gone on a wheel tangent yet, I ride Slimeball 95a, but i tend to want to ride slightly softer cause i feel less of the grounds effects... does that make sense? i understand why, especially older skaters atm, are still always rocking them hard as hell wheels, its normalized, but the second i switched away, i was like, oooohhh personal preference here is HUGE.

i skate 99s and wont touch anything harder than that! i would honestly like to try like 97s or something, i know exactly what you mean, a slightly softer wheel just feels smoother in general as long as its not too soft
