Thanks for the memory Maurice! Can recall hearing David Whitfield sing this on the radio & my mother proudly explaining that he was from Hull, my home town. His house 'Cara Mia' is in Kirkella, Just outside Hull. Was lucky to see him perform at 'The White Horse Theatre Bar' in Hutton Cranswick, some time in the 1970's. There's a statue of him outside Hull's New Theatre in Kingston Square.
