hmm... is it really necessary? Yes. but should it be the first priority? No... A good foundation with your partner is very important because if you cannot be yourself and grow to be who you want to be in the relationship. Then it's not going to work in the long run, it will fall off because the foundation was not proper. Yes, SEX can help reduce stress and arguments in the relationship but if that's the only thing that's being offered in the relationship whether you are good at it or not. the relationship eventually will fall off... it's that simple.

Asexuality is also a spectrum, you get people people who can go years without sex because they are asexuals and they don’t see the importance of sexual intimacy but see other things as being intimate. There are asexuals who can have sex once a year and others that can have it 3 or 4 times a year. It’s a spectrum. Their relationships work and they find other ways to pleasure their partners instead of sexual intimacy.

Tshepi's situation is the reason why women in the past were waiting for marriage to have sex. You see when you sleep with all these men, eventually you are bound to be spiritually bankrupt and loose proper connection as you will be hurt in the quest of finding "the one" or if you are simply sleeping around. Also as a woman you will start to compare men and exes. Now that becomes a problem for the next guy that potentially tries to marry you and now he has to deal with massive emotional baggage that has nothing to do with him! Sadly there are many women like Tshepi! I have been with such women and trust me it is very frustrating as a man. I normally dump them immediately as I cannot deal with the emotional baggage. Therapy should be a norm in our black community!
