This vlog is about the recent incidents which took place of man-eating by tigers around Bandipur national park. I try to trace those places on the outskirts of bandipur and also hear from the villagers the first hand account of these incidents.

Little boy grazing his cattle near the edge of the forest - this is straight out of the books. Our country side has changed very little in the last 70-80 years.

Continue raising awareness about coexistence and conflict avoidance. Several years ago a wild elephant strayed into Mysuru outskirts. Substantial coverage followed on the signatures it left in its wake, a trail of property destruction, plus its own ruffage. While the outrage is understandable, how many bipedal individuals respect their territory by not littering, avoid loud party noises, avoid strong perfumes, confusing wildlife olfactory senses, etc.? 🐅🐯👍

Little surprising to know there are many eaters in Bandipur , as far as I know Bandipur , tigers and humans share a nice ecological balance , that’s the only tiger reserve perhaps I know of which have no incidents ..

Being watching your videos, really love your passion for wild life, venturing into the remote areas closer to the forest interacting with people understanding the situation, you just recreate the incident which took place. So well narrated and very exciting sir, you have a complete 360 degree view on wild life :)

Hello Shreyas. It's a great vlog. I am a Kiwi writer visiting Nagarahole T.R. in late April/early May. I am hoping to write a piece on the Karnataka tigers eventually. I would very much like to write something on the Bandipur Man-eaters. Maybe we could link up in early May and drive around looking at the scenes of the respective attacks (?) If you are interested then please do get in touch. Sid

You should stop giving sermons to villagers. The villagers are the true stakeholders of these forests and they have been grazing their cattle and interacting with tigers and other wildlife for generations. It is only in the last few years that man-eating has been reported but that has been because of the increase in tiger densities and resultant numbers in recent years and the spillover effects obviously results in some of them straying into human habitats and the resultant human deaths. Also you should be aware that these villages have existed for hundreds of years and these people as stakeholders have protected the forests and wildlife all along. Social media should be used wisely to give correct information and not sensationalise issues for attracting more subscribers and we see a lot of this Nonsense on KZbin by half baked arm chair wildlife activists dishing out utter lies and falsehood for attracting eyeballs. This is highly condemnable and these rascals should be hauled on the coals. You seem to be a sensible guy and hope your views will be balanced and nuanced. You should talk to genuine wildlife scientists like Ullas Karanth, Sukumar and others so as to arrive at a holistic picture of the conflict that would be truly appreciated.

Sorry, My intention was not to give sermons to villagers. I went on a journey open minded and just looking for information. Of course I know that villagers are stakeholders in wildlife conservation. Also, i have been associated with wildlife and related activities and I do have some knowledge on the ground reality. But when you are a stakeholder you have certain responsibilities as well. Maneating has been there for 100's of years, when tigers were abundant, just that in those days message wouldn't spread as easily. And btw, I would like to clarify that i haven't tried to use any falsehood to attract viewers on KZbin. Throughout the vlog i have just tried following up on the story, and nothing else, but if my 1 or 2 sentences made you write in such hate, i don't know what else to say. It's like pinpointing stuff.

I didn't Shreyas giving any sermons. He was just hoping for an idealistic world where people don't venture into the jungle. Nothing wrong with that. Didn't deserve such nasty comments.
