Been there done that, and came out alive! You can't describe the thrill of hearing Lions roar! If you keep the tent closed, very rare they'll try to enter, unless you leave food inside for them to smell. Getting the urge for round 2 in the future! 👏👍

I was in a tent EXACTLY like this 20 years ago in Africa Tanzania. I was with my Girlfriend and all of a sudden, a black man popped his head in the tent and said, zip up the door, there's a lion in the campsite and then off he went. Needless to say, it was a very freightening experience. We were in a TENT!

When I was in Botswana we were two men per tent, and behind each tent was a make-shift hole in the ground to go pee but it was 50 ft behind the tent. If you went to pee in the middle of the night our guide told us to shine a light all around you first, because if a big cat feels that you "saw" them, they will give up the predator mode and you will be fine. He also said they generally see a tent as a huge bolder, solid. But if you ever light up a flashlight inside and they can see its transparent, watch the F out.

What an amazing experience, all the comments re oh you're in their home you're in the wrong place you shouldn't be there. Ease up people and chill out. No one got hurt the lion had a good look around and wasn't harmed in any way. Until you've been there and experienced this don't sit in your living room and condemn others. And yes, I have been there done that and it is the most amazing experience in the world. The odd person has been hurt over the years yes, but you could walk outside and get run over by your neighbor's car. Experience nature at its best.

The tents aren't even secured. A wife and husband from Europe were attacked few years back in such a tent by a Lion. H didn't die but was badly injured. Why would they not build a proper fencing? And what if it decides to come back? What's the plan then geniuses?
