Checking & emptying traps in the black of dark be it morning or night, (I've done both with my typical 12 & 24 hr checks) is a bit difficult & takes some practice, not to mention remakes,but trying to shoot video at the same time certainly adds to the negativeness & difficulty. My favorite go to for night activities that require good vision,is those L.E.D. headlamps you get at walmart with 3 bulbs & brightness settings that run about 5 long night on 3 triple A batteries. It might help you alot once you get practiced with one. You can put it over or under a hat visor, over a winter cap,around your throat or what ever you need,even on your chest if you buy some more elastic strapping in the sewing department. Honestely,dont know how I got by with out one. Kind of same as with cell phones. Damn brite light too!

Put a stick in front of your trap chain that way you can tell if the traps moved down the drowned. You won't have to walk across to check it
