Wow, I love the look of that Nivada!

Longines Heritage 1967 Chrono and the C65 Chrono come to mind, but they are a bit bigger at 42mm and 41mm. This is a great release!

I love their watches Should have put the hours bigger on the bezel. No one is going to dive with a ghosted bezel. Nice watch though.

I mean this is marketed as a Yachting watch, although built on the diver platform.

Unfortunately Nivada has already built quite a reputation for poor customer support and service. At the prices they are charging, that’s a big no-no. Most of us who frequent watch forums know to stay away from Nivada.

I want a Doxa 200, but I fear the same result. It seems like only Zodiac actually takes care of their customers. I think I only do Seiko divers these days, especially SPB models.

Amen to that - I have this watch, shipped from Analog:Shift directly and received 18th July. Wore it to dinner that evening, the bezel insert came out and was lost. Today is the 4th October and I am still awaiting the replacement. I temper this with the comment that, due to living in the Caribbean, returning the watch (preferred option for NG) was least practical for me due to shipping and customs delays so the replacement insert was my request. However, Analog:Shift, to this day, have never responded to my emails and telephone calls, hence turning to NG, my experience with them (including the CEO, Guillaume, via LinkedIn) has been alarming. An additional concern is replacement parts for LE’s - they weren’t sure if they’d be able to source a new bezel insert. Beautiful watches but it seems they need to invest in their team to bring service levels in line with sales volume - online businesses with little contact info should ensure email response times are swift and staff are empowered to apply common sense.

I'm in the midst of a nightmare with them right now. It turns out they do not fill out customs paperwork for international orders and place the burden on the customer -- this is also not documented anywhere in their checkout/preorder process. They also don't response to customer service inquiries related to shipping and customs. I've ordered 3 watches from Doxa/Aquadive and never had any issues like this. I just want to return the watch and get my money back at this point, but I know that if I have the shipping company send it back to Nivada I will never see a dime back.

It's beautiful but for 2k they should not skimp on the lume.
@AverageBros Жыл бұрын
they didn't skimp on the lume, they chose black lume compound to ensure daylight legibility, as a yachting watch.

Nice watch but at 2000 USD it's up against stiff competition
@AverageBros Жыл бұрын
For Dive capable chronographs though, it's actually a stand out.
@Emaratilfy Жыл бұрын
@@AverageBros but a dive chrono should at least have good lume. I don't understand why watch makers skimp on this aspect when you can get cheap microbrand watches with outstanding lume that'll last forever
@AverageBros Жыл бұрын
@@Emaratilfy It's not that simple, they didn't skimp out on lume, they used black lume to ensure maximum daylight legibility. Also, just because something is cheap doesn't mean it's desirable. There are tons of cheap watches with great features and specs, if I don't want them, it doesn't matter what the spec sheet says. I don't purchase spec sheets, I purchase watches as a whole. Also, this is built on the Chronomaster Dive/Chrono platform but is designed to be a Yachting watch, so it's not meant to be an all out diver.
