Billions of animals are slaughtered every year and nothing is ever done about it. That includes animals being flayed and dissected. The cruelty of slaughterhouses is unimaginable. Animals are in many respects much more innocent that most humans. They deserve our protection and respect. What animal do you know of that was a methodical serial killer? None because they are driven by instinct. The red flag is our culture that has us consuming flesh from a young age. Some people like Dahmer get confused and branch out further from what is already an abnormal diet taught to us from day 1.

I guess this guy was so calm because he didn't have to keep secrets anymore, and he no longer coud do anything to change his fate. By the time the judge told his sentence to the public, all his victims were already dead, his guilt on their deaths was already proven, his homosexuality was not a secret anymore and he probably knew he would never get out of prison again. Nothing he could at that point would ressurrect the people he had killed, free him from jail or make people people forget all the awful truth about the case.

Eh. Not really. He did great as a creepy awkward serial killer. But there was so much more to dahmer. He didn’t capture the intellectual side of him. You would have never guessed dahmer to be anything other then the nicest average dude. You can see the serial killer they painted on Netflix a mile away. They also tried to spin it like he fell in love with the deaf dude. Dahmer wasn’t capable of falling in love. People were nothing but disposal objects to him. It’s a pretty good series, but they took what they wanted with a little bit of facts and put it in a blender to get some cash. I really wish they stuck to what exactly happened. That’s what we crave. The 100% truth. Peters did do phenomenal tho, his mannerisms as dahmer spot on. But the writers of this show dropped the ball. In my opinion. Still enjoyed every minute of it, but like I said I crave to see what really happened, not this Hollywood sounds good looks good crap. There was so much more to this then they showed, simple things too. Like why not just keep it 💯 it’s all about that $$$$$$$$$$$ Hollywood picture film. Tubi had a great documentary on him, 10/10

@@thorterry4014 yes very true. i agree about the fact that they did definitely twist the story on the netflix series to try and make it more interesting. i did research and such on dahmer after the fact to see how accurate the show got it and from the surface it does look pretty accurate but if u actually take a minute and read some about the true story it’s less “interesting” and more sad and cruel. dahmer was intelligent and good at playing a persona that allows ppl to almost pitty him but it’s easy to look through, in the show i didn’t really see that all i saw was an awkward serial killer. it’s definitely a tough story to betray and i think evan did a phenomenal job for the most part aside from that and that the writing to the show could have been more accurate.

Jeffrey Dahmer. Possibly the only serial killer who’s story states that he was the one who could’ve been treated, if cared for and looked after by his parents instead of being left alone which let that twisted side of his mind take him over and make him commit gruesome crimes. RIP to all the victims.

I agree that he took responsibility, however it's worth acknowledging his mother was prescribed opiates and benzodiazapines during pregnancy, his father helped him pick up and dissect roadkill as a child, he was left isolated as a teen with an alcohol addiction, and police didn't respond properly to complaints by his neighbors. Each of these elements contributed to all of those deaths. Hopefully people can learn from it. RIP Victims.

Dahmer seems so different from the other serial killers. Bundy and Gacy were thrill killers, had no real relationships, and put on a facade for the world. Dahmer seems like a psychopath whose abandonment issues and loneliness were allowed to fester the nth degree.

This is by far the worst case of serial killing. The brutality, the sickness of it. Having watched the Netflix show........I can't help but feel like there was many failings in his life. His father teaching him how to cut up animals as a young child certainly had a huge impact on his life. Also the failed psychiatric reports which should have happened and did not. I'm not excusing his actions, but if people did more then they could have prevented these awful things from happening. He maintained sanity, but you must have some deep psychological issues to do the things he done! I hope the authorities and medical professionals do more in future to safeguard victims.

Additionally, his mother was prescribed opiates and benzodiazapines during her pregnancy, early on when the brain of the fetus is forming. On top of that, Jeffrey was addicted to alcohol and left alone as a teen for long periods of time. He told the prison psychiatrist he tried to fight his compulsive thoughts but couldn't. Of course, he's still guilty of heinous crimes, I'm not excusing it. I'm just explaining how his brain was impacted by both parents (and his mother's doctor)

These opinions like the ones that you have for example are usually always nothing short of being romanticisms of resenting the typical murderous psychopaths. Even like with Cruz. The actions they made show more than enough to show that they are not right in the head, but to apply these hyperactive emotional traits and narcissistic tendencies at them all comes from the overly specific portrayals of them that are rendered by media and or word of mouth. He clearly isn't happy about what he's done. But yeah, he obviously couldn't control that either. No need to make more out of somebody that ought to be made, it just only looks good in fiction novels and to otherwise make others feel better about their own psych. There's plenty enough about Dahmer to dispise. But the introspective analysis is just overplayed.
