I experienced the dust, sulfer smell and Moon like terrain of volcanoes in Hawaii…. and I remember how small it makes you feel to be so close to such a powerful force of nature. I miss this place, the last time I came here was 16 years ago before I started my work in the capital city. I used to come here almost every other day back when I was still working part time as tour guide during my college days. Bromo was and still as magnificent as ever, the chilly weather, the sunrise and even the fog... maybe next time, when she's calmer and open again for hikers, you should go to Semeru. it's even more magnificent as you can get the view of the southern Sea of Java from it's top. Semeru has been pretty cranky in the past couple of years, her crankiness took several lives and destroyed several villages, road and bridges. growing up in a town surrounded by volcanoes, humbles me so much. made me always remember how small I am before the mother nature...

After finishing visiting bromo you should try climbing Mount Semeru, there is a lake that is so beautiful and you have to camp for 1 day on the lake called Lake Ranukumbolo. after from there you have to go to the tumpak sewu waterfall which is on the border of the cities of Lumajang and Malang and don't forget to visit Batu City because there are many tourist attractions there, after that just go to Banyuwangi, which is located at the easternmost island of Java, directly bordering the island of Bali, and you have to visit the crater Ijen and Baluran National Park after that just crossed to the island of Bali

Mount Kelud crater in Kediri can be reach by motorbike from the parking area. But may be because the eruption of Mount Kelud usually a big . So sometime they close the Mount Kelud to avoid victims of the eruption. The scenery around the crater also beautiful when in the normal situation.

Hi Mickey nice to see you again in another location called gunung Bromo, I have been there few years ago, about the restricted area for visitors motorbike was just to let the local people to operate the motorcycle 🏍️ for earnings a little is meant to transport the tourist from one point to another point,so just enjoy it 😉 maybe you might be once in your life be here, take care keep safe..
