For years, the only operatic/classical footage I could find of Helen Traubel singing was "Du bist der Lenz." And even that's disappeared from KZbin. Let's start over with something new, shall we?

Of course. It is not possible to be young and sleek, and also sing one of Wagner's heroines. You have to have experience, depth of voice, and bulk to supply vocal power. She fits the role.

She might be 'matronly', but she is not obese. (So many in recent years have been. Even morbidly so.) Voice and musicianship should come first. No one today can match this singing.
