ON WOOD _ Walnut, leaf bowl / Wood Carving / 우드카빙 / 월넛, 나뭇잎 접시

The leaf-motivated plate was carving with a hand tool using walnuts.
I cut the top neatly to make it easier to contain something, and I put in a thick knife mark because I wanted to give the texture rough and powerful on the bottom. It's very hard, but I worked with a 42mm carving knife.
But during the work, I remembered that I wanted to finish by taking advantage of the hammer's hitting traces from a long time ago, so I tried it this time. Regular and irregular shallow hitting marks remain, so it feels like a clean cutting and another texture.

안녕하세요. 단순히 글로 설명 할수 있는 부분이 아닌듯 합니다. 나무의 결, 조각도를 잡는 습관, 날의 관리, 조각도를 미는 속도나 힘.... 여러가지 원인이 있을 수 있어서 옆에서 보지 않고는 딱 이방법으로 하시면 됩니다..라고 할 수가 없네요..;;

망치로 조각도 손잡이 뒤를 치면, 조각도 날이 조각도 손잡이에 박혀 들어가버리던데 애시당초 조각도 제작이 잘못된건가요? 조각도 날이 조각도 손잡이에 박혀들어가는것을 예방할 방법이 있을까요?

조각도가 손잡이 쪽으로 들어가는건 처음 들어보고 제가 이해하고 있는게 맞는지 헤깔리네요. 그렇다면 불량일 가능성이 높아 보입니다. 손잡이가 쪼개지면 모를까 칠때마다 들어가지는 않습니다..;;

@@onwood 초등학교 때 산 조각도라서 그런거 같습니다. 5000원에 조각도 4개 들어있는것. 연마제 처리를 안하고 고운 사포로 다듬는것만 하면 어떤 문제점이 발생되나요? 쉽게 날이 무뎌지나요?
