I find I normally reduce the micro contrast slider to zero to remove the extra "crispness" I think it introduces.

Thank you Ian for the tip! I am not a fan of the extra "crispness" either so I will try setting the micro contrast slider to zero.

I think often the no nose effect is too strong, and pictures become like paintings. I mostly use the manual settings. Maybe I should try it again

I find that lowering the Micro Sharpening helps m to avoid the strong effect. Most of the time I have it set to 0.
