This is the first upgrade I’ve done in 2 years now, probably worth the upgrade price now. Haven’t seen the need over the last couple years for the small amount of updates

Great review, I really like the way show every click to make adjustments. Thank you!

This video helped me to decide to wait until 2026. These features are quite frighteningly bad compared to Photoshop and Lightroom.

It is not as good as Photoshop and Lightroom. However do consider that the price is mich lower and nonsubscription.

the reduce powerline feature seems an unfinished feature. It's like saying the generative erase only erase part of the subject.
@takebetterphotos8132Ай бұрын
True. However powerfline removal features in other apps also never seem to do it perfectly. Perhaps maybe Adobe would be an exception.

I'm still stuck on the install. Getting an error when it tries to migrate my 2024 settings on opening. I wish they would have allowed a bypass on that because i can't find a solution and I've wasted not only money but days off time trying to find a workaround.
@takebetterphotos8132Ай бұрын
Have you tried pressing the shift key when opening ON1? That's supposed to bypass any issues. Is the error an issue of lack of space?
@sixtyticketrecorder7276Ай бұрын
@@takebetterphotos8132 thank you!! That did work. I'm upgrading my SSD today, I was down to around 20GB free. I'm kind of leaning on Luminar Neo and Lightroom now and those two had eaten a ton of drive space. On1 was great to get me into editing but even with the upgrade I'm not seeing amazing results like in these demo videos.
@takebetterphotos8132Ай бұрын
Glad it worked! I had the same issue. ON1 needs to do a better job giving on info on space requirements!

I've been an ON1 user for 2 years, I don't understand why I should pay for a beta version, to be fair, of the new tools. On top of that, the company is introducing micropayments like they do in video games. This is indefensible.
@takebetterphotos81324 күн бұрын
Thanks for your feedback. What micropayments are you referring to? Didn’t hear of this.
@aiqiro2 күн бұрын
@@takebetterphotos8132As a rule of thumb, regardless of the quality of your hardware, you will get fairly decent but mediocre performance on your own computer. To get really good processing, you need to use stability.ia. You have to buy credits (clever trick with the name). For $10 you get 1,000 credits. And no matter how many credits you use to process an image, this is a micropayment that I don't agree with.

Wow that AI crop looked incredibly bad, and remove power lines didn't do such a great job either. Seems unfinished.
@takebetterphotos813223 күн бұрын
Thanks for you the feedback. "AI crop looked incredibly bad" compared to which app?
@brendxn_23 күн бұрын
@takebetterphotos8132 thanks for the video. I often find your content useful. Not compared to any app just compared to the natural scene. I don’t think I would use it at that quality.
@takebetterphotos813220 күн бұрын
@brendxn_ that's fair. Have to do a more rigorous test on this.

Only consider upgrading if your computer is less than 4 years old otherwise the new features probably wont work without paying extra for Stability AI. The expansive feature is poor, takes several attempts and still doesn’t always work. The reduce power lines generally only works with thin cables not thick wires. IMHO opinion, an untested and poor upgrade rushed out, so not worth upgrading.

Thanks for the feedback. Yes local generative AI is a poor performer with less than the latest hardware. Topaz super focus can take several hours to finish!
