As an ON1 subscriber, I have to say that ON1 2023 is one of the most amazing Programs going for a photographer. I rarely use PS any more, it leaves LR and others in the dust. I also have to give a shout out to Dylan for all the fabulous tutorial videos and inspirational ideas that you give us. With the new update ON1 is truly fabulous !!

I have the On One (purchased through Kelby). I Think I should use Photoshop to get the most capability. Can I also load as plug in to Lightroom for occasional quicker editing. I print mostly from Lightroom Classic. What is the actual size of the smart image psd file (average) same as from PS? also, what are the best used file formats used for Slick Pic?... portfolio, and does these Slick Pic Mobi files auto manage file sizes. I am just starting with the portfolio and other Slick Pic tools.

The plugins are mainly for use in other apps like Lightroom/Photoshop. All of the plugins are already inside ON1 Photo RAW. If you purchased these by mistake, we can offer a refund. Just contact customer service.

very useful tuto. I have PR2023 and plugins. I have just installed PR2023 and i was suprised we can't launch it anymore from Lightroom classic. I really don't understand, in case of lightroom which worked perfectly before with ON1, why you spent so much time to make separate plugins duplicating basic tools like super masking, local retouching,... just because PR2023 had its own catalog you could have disabled when launched from LRC. we would have a smart photo non destructive workflow with a single app containing nonoise, effects,...

It works as a standalone as Affinity doesn't allow us to change the document size. You can do your edits in Affinity, and then save the file, then enlarge in Resize AI.

The mask was imprecise around the tip of the tiger's ears. How can the mask be edited to correct this, pls?

Very easily. Once the mask is credit you can refine/edit etc however you need to.

ON1 is a superb piece of software, but it is a shame that it will not work on my comp as I have Win7. Will you support Win7 in later versions?

ON1 Plus Pro was a subscription that included ON1 Photo RAW upgrades and the ON1 Plus access. It hasn't been available for sale in a few years. Those that have ON1 Plus Pro can stay in that subscription and keep what they are subscribed to. ON1 Everything Plus includes ON1 Photo RAW, ON1 Plugins, and ON1 Plus and is a yearly subscription that offers everything we sell (except additional creative assets like presets, etc).

One is not quite clear to me. Does ON1 Photo Raw 2023 exactly include the same ON1 Professional 2023 plugins that they offer for purchase, or should I buy the 5 ON1 Professional plugins bundle "in addition" to ON1 Photo Raw 2023 for even better results in Photo Raw 2023. In other words, is the ON1 Professional Plugins bundle in an even higher quality class than the internal ON1 PhotoRaw 2023 functions. With best regards Auenländer

ON1 Photo RAW 2023 includes quite a few more features but doesnt work as a plugin. You don't need both if you using ON1 as a standalone program.

Each of those products you mention should work as plugins for Photo RAW, but the ON1 Plugins dont work was plugins with those applications unfortunately.

You can call the on1 apps from Photolab as an external app. It works well.

Hi Dan, One thing I have noticed in local adjustment for some reason exposure is default to minus 1 stop instead of 0. any reason?

If it was set to zero you wouldn't see any effect when brushing it in. It's mainly so people don't think it's broken at 0. :)

I am a long time ON1 plus member. My membership includes a copy of the latest release of ON1 Photo Raw. I only use the Plugins and had to pay get them. Is there anyway that my ON1 plus membership be changed so that it includes the plugins rather ON1 Photo Raw?

If you are only using the plugins you could just purchase ON1 Plus and then purchase the plugins you use the most. Right now, we do have a subscription option that includes ON1 Photo RAW, ON1 Plugins and ON1 Plus (includes all upgrades, updates and new products). It's called ON1 Everything Plus.

Until ON1 Photo Raw 2022, I preferred using Luminar, but since ON1 Photo Raw 2023, and even without the plugins I'm looking forward to, I much prefer ON1.

My HP Z440 Workstation is approaching 10 years old though it does have a very fast Xeon processor: 6 threads at 4GHz or 12 threads at 3.6GHz with 64GB of RAM. The video card is weak (Quadro P2200) with only 5 GB of VRAM. I've only done a little testing but so far most functions work fine while those that heavily depend on the video card are slow. Next month I hope to upgrade the video card to a Nvidia A4000 with 16GB of VRAM.

The ON1 NoNoise 2023 plug in doesn’t seem to work in Photoshop 2023 on smart objects as a smart filter. It opens, seems to apply an effect, but when you hit Done it applies and appears as a smart filter OK, but it hasn’t made any difference to the image. NoNoise 2022 works fine. Is this a bug? In looking at the issue again, it appears you have to hit Apply first to get the image to render, then hit Done to get it to apply as a smart filter and actually work. Confusing, and an extra step not needed with earlier versions of NoNoise.

You can still get good results from software like this. Better cameras = more data in raw files = better upscaling and noise reduction, etc.

On1 Plugins offer some really nice functional features to supplement LrC. Unfortunately, over the years as more features are added to On1 Photo RAW, its UI has become rather convoluted, confusing and unintuitive. Its tools' icons are scattered all over the 4 sides and 4 corners of the screen, making navigation painfully aggravating for the casual user. The UI could seriously use a much needed revamp.
