On30 Porter Forney

I was asked how the On30 Porter Forney was bashed from a Bachmann Porter. I built this a few years ago, so here are the parts I can remember.

You should make a video of how you made that 2-4-0 that looks like a modified forney.

Question on how you extended the pilot and added the pony truck to the forney. Do you have any as building images? Planning building a 2-4-2 out of an 0-4-2 would love to see how you did yours. Beautiful work! Ted.

I was wondering the same thing the other day! I'll try to make a video showing the front pilot, as I remove it and measure it. I think it would make a really good 3D printed product.

Awesome video. I did not realize the there were such differences between the original analog porters and the DCC ones. I will have to look and see what I can come up with the build mine.

Bachmann does have a couple of different pilot parts on their website. One part is S253X-00C01, and looks like it may fit the newer Porters. estore.bachmanntrains.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=66_71_645&products_id=8186

Hi Rich, no problem, I would love to see what you come up with. The coach in the video was a resin kit which came from a hobby shop called Rio Grande Hobbies, I think. Bought it on Ebay, but I don't see anything from them at this point.
