I think is what we're seeing is what Billy thought he had week 1 but instead the team just didn't show up. Now it looks like they're showing up. I think ole miss will show us what's what but I'm happy with what I saw yesterday. LSu was the better team & Billy figured out how to get it done without lagway making not 1 single run. Good job

I heard in the first bye week that the players asked for a simplified defense. Since the UCF game the defense looked like a different team. That's also coaching; that the coaches didn't make the change until the players asked. I'm ok with giving Napier 1 more year for stability, however, he hasn't shown the attention to detail that you see from a power 4 championship level coach.

Man we've gotten better every year Billy's been our coach. Now the improvements haven't been massive, but this is what a rebuild should look like. By mid season we look like a team that can compete when healthy. We finish these last recruiting weeks strong, hopefully beat Ole Miss, and dominate FSU 🤞🏿, we can be off to a great off-season. I do think Billy should hire an OC so we can fully take advantage of our young QB and RB. Go Gators

The fans that that want instant satisfaction are the fans that want immediate change without forwards thinking. My first season was 79. So I’ve seen it all and sometimes patience is needed. We are very young and talented so I was sticking with Coach for a 5 year tear it down and rebuild from the start. Napier has the players bought in and they don’t ever quit. And yes I want more championships before I die, at 67 I got patience and I’ve seen it all. DJ LAGWAY HAS THE -IT- FACTOR. TEBOW HAD IT, SPURRIER HAD IT AS PLAYER AND COACH. GO GATORS.

If you fired him it would cost like 25 million in buyout. Since they are keeping him, do 15 million for portal and recruiting upgrades and explain to Napier that Florida wants to compete or make the playoff next year as a result of this investment. If it doesn’t work out, then you could fire him next year with a 15 million buyout. I think that strategy makes sense.

Florida plays hard but this is the first game that they have beaten a team that they weren’t supposed to beat. LSU is avg at best. Will see how they do against Lane. At the end of the day, it’s still 6-6. Every year can’t be “they play hard” but they finish with a losing record or 6-6. Next year they play the same teams

The fan base wants and deserves to see improvement. Defense has improved notably and this game is a sign of improvement in offense. If we can stay healthy and give old miss a game and beat fsu then win a bowl game. That's 7 wins and I think the rest of the fan base comes around.

KZbinr Dr Dugas basically said "If a team gets better over the year it's good coaching. If however a team gets worse as the year goes on, it's bad coaching". I have to agree. Napier is coaching better. I thought Napier wasn't ready for the Florida job and Florida isn't a place for on the job training but after 3 years, it seems the on the job training is paying off. Who knows? Maybe at this time next year we might be singing Napier's praises. Either way, he has 2025 in the bag. Might as well go with the flow.

This is a team week in and week out competing (Texas game to many injuries) outside the blip of Texas I haven’t been disappointed much this season . I had this team around 7-5 or 6-6 with the toughest schedule in cfb . This teams young but clearly talented . They are gonna be ten times better come next season especially if they land some of these kids at the lsu game last night

All I asked for this season was to see improvement from Billy Napier and I predicted 7-8 wins with a possible bowl game. I already knew with the schedule it was gonna be unrealistic asking for too much for Billy to win more than 8 games. But I believe Billy is building something special and lagway is gonna be special. And that defense reminds me of the old defense Florida had, what our standard of a gator defense should always be. Florida fans just can't pull the trigger too early

However, there are many UF fans who appreciate what Napier was brought in to do: change the culture and reverse the declining trajectory under Mullen, McElwain and Muschamp.
