I've lived in Columbus my whole life. Seen the ebbs and flows of the series. I get upset here but not like some people who take it next level. I get mad because OSU usually has more talent. Michigan games they've lost included. They do need to run the ball better. Every year Tress won and every year Meyer whipped their ass, they led in rushing. Look it up. I mean some years under Meyer they had over 300 yards rushing. Day has gotten away from that at times. Or the lineman aren't being recruited right. If they went to their strengths against Michigan, we probably wouldn't even be having this conversation. Don't change the game plan 2 days before the game. They definitely need some changes before next yr. Whether those will be under Day or not depends on how good the look against Vols. OSU win and he's safe. Lose it and I'd fire him myself.

Those who violate the law would be guilty of a fifth-degree felony = $2500 fine up to 1 year in prison. The Softies won't beat Tennessee at home they couldn't beat a 6-5 Michigan. for me, this is best bets for week one playoffs I picked Tennessee to win I like the under and I will say 24-21 Tennessee wins. I pick them to win and it is due strictly by the teams that have given Ohio State trouble even with a healthier offensive line are not as good as Tennessee if Tennessee can in fact play to their strengths, they will win. They will wear Ohio State‘s team down and in my eyes they are more battle tested than Ohio State is probably not a very popular opinion. I think Will Howard is a better quarterback than Nico however under pressure neither quarterbacks are very good. I believe Will Howard will have a lot of pressure on him. Tennessee’s defensive line has not been given enough credit by sports analyst and it’s due. I think we will see the war one in the trenches by Tennessee and I think we’ll see some Josh Heupel high IQ offensive play calls to confuse Ohio State on offense

Totally disagree there is pressure on OSU. Everyone in the national media has been saying that every time the topic of HC job at OSU comes up and clearly it means nothing. The AD at OSU has already said Day has their support. In fact, I can’t imagine the situation in which Day gets fired. Obviously the OSU admin has accepted that losing to Michigan is ACCEPTABLE but they publicly just mouth the opposite. They have lost 4 years in row - he is still there. That is my proof. Further, every coach in the Power 4 has some similar pressure when they accept the job. The Michigan head coach certainly does as well.

The reason the Big10 and teams like OSU don't beat the SEC when it comes to the big games and titles is this. The big 10 is a bad rushing conference. I mean OSU is 59th, Oregon 53rd. PSU is 19th. So, the rushing defense are going to look good like OSU's but it's a false stat due to how bad the rushing offenses are in the Big 10. So, I don't think OSU is going to be able to run much against TN. That's a legit elite 1st SEC defense. Going to be tough and OU must go through the air. QB's have to be able to run well and throw to beat TN all in one QB and Howard just isn't that.

@gwhite713626 күн бұрын
@@ml1754 Not even close. lol. First, in order to gauge which is better, we must looke at the offenses they have played. OSU has played one good offense and lost to it.. lol TN has played a number of decent and good offense and has faced much better QB's. I mean OSU lost to a Michigan team that has such a bad QB and offense, that UM doesn't even throw the ball. TN's defense is the best in the SEC and sorry OSU's just isn't near that. If TN had OSU' schedule, they'd be even better.. I do think OSU's D has talent and good against scrubs, except for the UM game. But we saw what happened when OSU faced a good SEC defense with UGA and this defense is like that defense UGA had, but probably better. Who you play matters, what offenses you play up against matters. The best defenses have always been in the SEC because you have more teams with good offenses in the SEC than any other conference. Let me know when OSU can hold all their foe to under 20 a game for 11 games?

Yeah I don't think they have seen a team quite like Tennessee. We're a lot like Michigan except we're a much better passing attack and Sampson is one of the best RBs in the country. Our defense is very much like Michigan too. Except we're deeper along the line and it's almost impossible to wear our d-line down. And I have faith in our CBs and the star position. If I have a concern on defense it's our safety play. On offense my concern is our o-line in pass pro. If we can hold up and give Nico enough time to throw that would be HUGE!! I have no doubt that we can run the ball against Ohio St. Maybe not for 200+ but somewhere in the 150+ range. If those things happen then I honestly believe Tennessee gets out of the SHOE with a HUGE WIN!! GO BIG ORANGE 🔶️ 🍊!!!

You guys are approaching this from a perspective that the Ohio State fanbase is a rational fanbase. These are the most spoiled, irrational and delusional fans you will ever meet! They were EXPECTING, as they always do, to go undefeated and win the Natty this year. They were expecting to get revenge for what Oregon did to them at their home in ‘21. They were expecting to finally blow the doors off Michigan this year. They’ve been to playoffs many times, and many times have fallen short. And when an irrational, delusional fanbase such as that (which is accustomed to the playoff stage, but falls short almost every time) gets let down in the regular season, they don’t have much fight left in them. They’re thinking, “Oh, here we go again!” On the other side, you have Tennessee. Whom has been chomping at the bit for this opportunity. Whom has been hungry for this stage. Whom has been starving for a chance to be back at this stage for over 20 YEARS!! Who do you think is going to want this more?! The winner of this game, is the team that wants it more. Period!
@TristenCoon-bw3sn28 күн бұрын
That is a dumb take. Fans cannot decide the outcome of this game, only the coaches and whichever players decide to show up can determine the outcome of this game. And if you knew anything about us OSU fans outside of the delusional cocky one's you'd know that none of us actually have faith or confidence in Ryan Day and the coaching staff to use our talent to our advantage or scheme up an offensive and defensive scheme for this game to actually put our players in the position to win. So I'm not going to be surprised if Tennessee goes up to Columbus and blows us out.

This idea that OSU could have just tossed the ball deep or to the outside just isn’t true. The way they should combated Michigan’s game-plan was slants to the middle of the field, as that’s specially the area that Michigan left open.
