Have you tried attaching the holdfastgear camera strap on the bag? how does it feel? would you consider using the strap as that or you still prefer slinging it to your shoulder?

Is there padding on the outside of the bag? Looked like it might have been just lined with the velcro "felt". Good review otherwise.

Nice review Christina, 2 things, one that might help u is I'm not sure if that strap comes off but if it does u can replace it with a smaller one. The second is for people that love the bag but the price is a little high, I believe they make the same bag but it isn't totally leather, I think it has leather accents & looks just as beautiful. Alright hope to see u in more videos like this, we always get Toby (Mish), now we get Christina, (Mash), haha.

@MrGubrz9 жыл бұрын
+Matthew Bishop i got to play with one at the trey ratcliff photo walk in san antonio. its a very stylish urban cool looking bag, i like the overall design. however, its very TALL feeling to ME. id either need a lot more 70-200 length lenses to maximize its size, or id be stacking lenses in starting at the bottom and working up. either way, it doesnt feel shaped right to ME. i need less height. it feels like wasted space making the bag bigger. but i LOVED the look. i really hope they make a slightly smaller one, and remove about 3-4" of height to the bag. its a pretty typical messenger bag general shape. which i just dislike for a camera bag.

Mel Sebastian Thanks, Mel! It is a bit heavier of a bag, though if a lighter weight is of importance to you, this same bag in waxed canvas is a bit lighter! www.onabags.com/store/messenger-bags/the-brixton.html?color=smoke

Mel Sebastian I wear it on long wedding days with a ton of gear in them and it has felt a lot lighter than I anticipated. I do have to put it down towards the end of the day but for the amount of stuff i can fit in it and the kind of protection it offers, I don't mind.

I have a similar ONA bag, it is grey, and I used it for the A7R, it's not quite big enough for my Canon. I keep some other things in it though. Looks good on a woman but I always felt I had a purse on. If I dressed like Tony Northup I could pull it off. But I got a lot of tattoos and don't have that look. lol tactical police looking bag it is for me!
@TalesOfWar9 жыл бұрын
+nagol5178 Getting it in black may have been more suited to your style lol. Assuming they do it in black of course.
@MrZombs1239 жыл бұрын
nagol5178 I think its all in your head my brother.. I feel the same way about my Billingham Hadley pro.. its khaki and tan leather, but I actually get quite a few questions about it and compliments that its a really nice looking bag. lol. Just own that shit, who cares to be honest. great looking and efficient camera bag. besides, tattoos and cargo shorts only add to the bad-assery. yes!
@nagol51789 жыл бұрын
They would just say to me, "You holding your wife's purse?" Trust me, ONA makes no bag for me. But I got one I'll sell any of you for 150 bucks, mint condition! lol
@nagol51789 жыл бұрын
I was joking. But on a serious note, it doesn't fit my look very well. It didn't look quite as bad in the pics but it showed up and I didn't like it. Looks more for a chick. But I was too busy with some things in life when I bought it to send it back. Just another few 100's gone. At the time I was shooting an A7R so it was big enough to carry that around with a few lenses. Now I'm back to the Canon full frame with battery grip, multiple lenses, flash's, etc. I may go back to Sony one day but not until the battery issue is fixed. However, I suspect Canon will have a good response with the next 5D. So, right now I am using the ONA bag to hold a bunch of ND filters. lol
@MrZombs1239 жыл бұрын
nagol5178 I'm hoping the next 5D is a winner myself. My mark III and 6D have seen better days and get a good workout on almost a daily basis. I'm ready for a replacement! I heard the A7r mark II battery is pretty awful too. For my "fun" camera I'm using an olympus omd em5 II and can say it's been nothing but a fun and great little camera and battery life is also great too.

Right on review, while I didn't have the height problem I did find it heavy, for that reason it was send back! I am hoping to try the smaller version since I am shooting mirrorless!
@MrZombs1239 жыл бұрын
***** prince street looks pretty sweet. i have a dark truffle brixton and also an Astoria too.. The Astoria got super heavy loaded up, but could carry everything i needed for a wedding and is also super nice.. ill go back to it eventually, but my shoulder needed a break. the brixton was my M4/3 bag for a while, but i found it to large for my OMD and primes.. they are all so compact there was a ton of extra space.. and honestly made the bag feel bigger than it was... so now i use it for certain situation, like out of town trips and out of town shoots where i only need a minimal amount of gear.. I ended up with a Billingham Hadley pro for the M4/3 and it fits the bill for size AND weight with a bit of extra room for accessories like the my charger and cable, business cards, filters, etc. :-)
@MrZombs1239 жыл бұрын
***** oh. also should mention, i guess. that my wedding setup is all canon full frame, which takes up way more space.. i started using an INCASE DSLR pro pack. love that back pack. *Thumbs up*

***** The Prince Street is a great option for mirrorless setups! To be honest, if you're carrying just a camera with attached lens + a couple of additional lenses, you could make do with the Bowery as well!
@MrGubrz9 жыл бұрын
+ONA Bags i use the bowery now. with an a7rii with the 55/1.8 attached, you can still fit in the 90/2.8 macro, and a smaller lens such as the 28/2 or 35/2.8. along with a lens pen, batteries, cards, etc. i rarely put the camera IN the bag, as its always on my 2finger strap, so i generally cram another lens, or a yonguo 560iii flash in there with a wireless receiver. i do wish the bowery had the accordianed pockets in front. they are flat sewn. which is nice for keeping battiers and cards in place, but you can fit less in than you might otherwise. im considering moving up to the street prince in the cognac leather. ill have to try it out for weight. im still spoiled by previously being street photographer only, and just having a small mirrorless with 1 lens and thats it! carrying options around is feeling crazy heavy to me, but i see people carrying WAY more than me for WAY longer.. so i realize part of this is just me being a big baby ;) with RE: to the leather bags, are the shoulder straps more narrow than the seat belt styled straps you get with the canvas bags? it SEEMS so in this review. i LOVE the broad seat belt styled strap on my canvas bowery.

Its really well made, does not feel cheap (and shouldn't, esp. for the price.) I do think its a little over priced, even for a high quality leather product, but i decided to treat myself one day.. Next time i run into you ill let you check it out for yourself. How ya been by the way?! :)

Robert Stofa Lol what up big homie,I haven't used a bag in yrs. I shoot with 2 camera's as you know sometimes 3. 1 with a 70-200 2.8, 24-70 2.8 and a 50 1.2. I use the rapid strap I wouldn't even have time to dig in the bag to change a lens or batteries. I do think this bag is way over priced, the leather is probably nice but for $450.00 no way.
@Onabags9 жыл бұрын
kevin osborne The leather is indeed full-grain Italian, which is not cheap! :P Handcrafted as well, versus machine-cut, which means that labor is a bit more, too. At the end of the day, we do think it's quite reasonably priced for the craftsmanship, but understand that it's not for everyone. :)
