Onan 2800 microlite generator remove and test in Airstream B190 Ford e350 Project Camper Van 1995
I removed the generator so I could test it out. There was a lot of insulation stuffed behind it. The exhaust had to be welded back together.

My remote start switch isn't working. But it lights up when I run the generator from the switch on the generator. Could you do a video on how the remote switch connects or how to test it for functions?

Hey man I also pulled my generator but I can not get it to do anything. I connected the jumper cable wires from the positive terminal to the large white wire like you did and the black wire from jumper cables to the generator frame. I have 12v going to the solenoid but nothing anywhere else. Can only turn the generator over if I jump the backside of the solenoid. I removed the wire harness for the remote start and I also removed the black wire that was going from the "load" portion of the 25amp switch. I replaced the solenoid also. Any idea what I didn't wrong. I removed the conduit you kept on and those wires you wire nutted.

What i did for my gen is the wire was the positive and ground to the body is the negative.

@@collinmerideth8274 you may not be properly grounded - I couldn't get anything to happen at all until I was properly grounded. I attached my negative alligator clip to the engine body itself (big mounting hole sticking up close to the throttle). Still isn't working but it turned over like a champ.
