I treasure the days when we rode in a pack of 25-30 CBX's on California freeways with the CBX Club. It sounded like being in a bomber formation. There was a Spondon as well as other exotic builds. We still meet but there are fewer CBX's each year. Yours looks great!

The exhaust is a 6-3-1 from Shule. Jetting is 80-120 with 1147 displacement. Will be 33 mm flatslides from this season

One of the best CBX road videos on KZbin. Those pipes are out definitely over the top, not too loud and loud enough to enjoy the music. A real nice looking piece of art that sounds as good as it looks.

Build in aprox half a year. Frame kit cost aprox £5000 + wheels + front end + ++. And you need a CBX to start with + overhauling the engine... Difficult to give a total..

OH so sweet ( didn't think one pipe was enough) That is just fantastic, didn't think that as the revs picked up it would howl but it did, that's just enough baffling and not too much.. Now you have to drive to Paris and do all the tunnels round the periferic Bld interieur and exterieur...Or the ST GOTTHARD tunnel in switzerland Go on...be the best video on KZbin by far... Best bike on the plannet!!! by far....

I can hardly believe my eyes that there is a (maybe) better looking and more to the imagination, more dream bike than a CBX 1000 moto martin. But ! I think the Spondon CBX 1000 is probably the single most desirable bike that I have EVER seen in my life.

Perfect video thanks. No really, its the best bike video on YT imo. Had forgotten how amazing the CBX mill looked, it and the XS11 were the monster superbikes of the era I first got into bikes in the late 70s and early 80s Your Spondon is just the dogs danglers for looks, vid has no annoying wind noise, just that mill. What a mofo of an engine 8-() Yer maun @ 5:55 in the red cops the bike, he knows there's something very very cool about to pull away lol!

@bikerdude73 Gikk bra å få den godkjent. Kjenner ikke til rutinene ved ombygging, men når det gjelder rammebytte er det viktig å kontakte biltilsynet først. Måtte vise orginal CBX'n til ID kontroll før jeg begynnte. Så kan du levere søknad, og når denne er godkjent, får du klarsignal til å starte rammebyttet. Lykke til brg Jan

One question: Why is the CBX so much more popular than the Z1300? Both are some nice sounding 6-cylinder bikes but the Z1300 is watercooled and more powerful.

In a word...Weight. 20 more BHP and I think 12 Ft lbs of torque, but that baby was heaaaavy. There’s a few that were converted to V-12’s search out Z-2300

Thanks for your comment. Bike is still alive, but very little used. Jetting is changed, but FCR carbs on street are not "perfect" :)

Spondon EXUP is absolutely cool!! Sadly the Spondon frame maker is out of business, so we have to take care of those still in existance!
