I'm from Poland and I have to say that idk why, but I love Helsinki Airport (probably my favorite). Its climate is just insane for me. I've been to for example Singapore, which is of course one of the best in the world, but still Helsinki Airport gives me always the best experience.

Helsinki airport is actually really nice. But I wiuld pick first the Oslo one. I think it is like an improved version of Helsinki airport 😅✈️

I also recently flew with Finnair for the first time. From Munich to Helsinki, also in the A350. I tried out the new business class and was really impressed with the hard product. The service was also great! The only strange thing was getting off. We docked at the non-Schengen area. But since we came from the Schengen area, we had to get off at the back and take the bus to the Schengen terminal.

Yeah, that's nornal in many airports when you come from Schengen but the plane's next destination is non-Schengen. Typical in Madrid for example. Glad you enjoyed the video! ✈️

The views on this flight were incredibly beautiful. I would definitely fly Finnair and transit through Helsinki if the opportunity ever presents itself. There was nothing to dislike about the flight.

¡Gracias por el informe detallado! It sounds they had announcements also in Swedish 15:34, the second official language in Finland. The captain (or FO?) on your flight from LHR sounded Swedish speaking, a familiar accent. I have a soft spot for widebodies on short hauls, this summer season Finnair fly A350/A330 to LHR AMS and MUC. Next winter they'll use A350 on mid haul too, on HEL-LPA 1x daily.

i often visit Finland, i was living there for almost 2 years in 2014 and it touch my soul in many ways, in 2022 my first time with my favorite airplane the A350, i was so happy 😂😁 I almost always visited it with mid - summer, back in 2014 Helsinki Vantaa airport was so much different, i saw it really changed in the last years, it's beautiful with all that wood and water, and the birds sounds in the toilets but in general it calms me a lot..last but not least Finland is always like coming home, I'm from the Netherlands by the way, thank you for this amazing video about Finnair ❤

I like Finnair, i think its better than most of other european airlines. Especially their a330s are awesome, I have never seen before that much legroom in economy class. Their a350s are bit cramped compared to the a330s.

Well... Finnair used to be great, particularly in long-haul... but since they can't overfly Russia they lost a lot of their advantage and had to start cuting costs to compensate for the longer routes they now have to fly...

Estoy tentado a probar el famoso asiento del 350 si me toca uno de los equipados con los nuevos interiores, pero no sé si piden una salvajada o son precios similares a los de Iberia (50-70€)

Existe la opción de intentar u upgrade, pero en mi caso la clase business iba totalmente llena desde un principio, por lo que la opción ni se activó. Espero que tengas un muy buen vuelo! :) PD: los upgrades de Iberia son, de lejos, los más baratos que he visto hasta la fecha.

Como es eso que Iberia opera vuelos para Finnair desde MAD y BCN? Le hace las rutas por falta de aviones ? 🤔

Le hace las rutas (previo pago de Finnair) porque para las conexiones en Helsinki es mucho mejor cuando el avión sale de BCN o MAD y vuelve. De lo contrario Finnair tendría que mantener una pequeña operativa extra en MAD y BCN, pagar hoteles, mantenimiento nocturno... Iberia es de la misma alianza que Finnair (OneWorld) por lo que es un acuerdo que tiene mucho sentido.

I find it funny how even long flights have very little snack options, as Finns themselves absolutely love snacking. 😅 We are recommended to eat 5 times a day, plus have a rich coffee/bread culture so I have no idea why it translates so poorly at Finnair. Sadly, Finnair is for sure one of those.
