Onboard Lifestyle

3 жыл бұрын

On this weeks episode of Onboard Lifestyle, we spend a little time in San Luis Obispo Bay waiting for the right time to jump to Cojo Bay, Goleta Bay and Santa Barbara. The crew enjoyed each of the stops, but it is time to tackle a few major projects before we enter Mexico and Santa Barbara will be the right place to do them. Come back next week to see what we are up too...see you then!

Much better a KZbin cooking channel. She's already got the footage. Boat Cuisine! Cooking channels easily garner over a million subscribers, while sailing chanels rarely break 100k. Cook books don't sell unless you are a celebrity, but another YT channel focused on cooking could easily get them 1m subscribers.

Emma you tickle me! I love seeing what you see & experience. We went to a restaurant that had kelp on their buffet. What Teal pulled off, the same type of kelp? I guess a person has to acquire a taste for it. I've been hungry for Oyster stew now that it's getting cooler. I've never grilled them in the shell. They are so expensive here in Southwestern Virginia. Lihn, your a very good cook, your dinners all look very delicious. I've never had fish tacos. I need to try different ways to eat. I don't make big meals, just simple things now. Sunsets are still pretty while your anchored. I love the silhouette look. I enjoyed seeing those birds diving for fish, the dolphins swimming, the tiny octopus, & 'lil Compass getting to stretch his legs. Maybe we can review those hand signals again.

It looks like you are having a good journey. One day I want to meet a lovely lady and tell her about going sailing, scuba diving, traveling. Right now I’m just waiting for more people to get the vaccine. I found out yesterday by September 20th they are going to have the booster out for elders, and I will have to wait eight months from my vaccine. Then I will try to find her so we can explore the sailing bug. I heard at the university East Carolina they have a class for handicap to learn how to sail. When I was about three I wanted to built, and tinker. Then when I went to preschool and kindergarten I learn about marine life, sharks, dinosaurs, etc. then I wanted to be a scientist to study marine life and scuba dive. Then I had two strokes when I was a kid. I just learn over the past few years living on a sailboat is great physical exercise. So I can stay healthy too. ⛵️

My mother back a long time ago here in Australia used, to do them 3 ways, natural, Kilpatrick (in the shell bed of rock salt,in a bed of Wostershire( not sure of the spelling, and the availability in the US)sauce and under the grill for a few seconds. Finally oysters out of there shell, onto a cube of bread and a small strip of bacon across the top ,again under the grill, yummy.

The west coast is actually pretty spectacular. It's just too bad the overcast takes away from what we get to see. Yes, there are very few safe harbors along to way, but the strength of the Pacific coast truly humbles you and prepares you for a lot of conditions while out to sea. That said, I am more than ready for clear blue waters I can swim and dive into as well as warmer climates. Cheers!
