Katie, I've been an herbalist and traditional naturopath for over 40 years. Generally, Echinacea is not recommended for people with autoimmune conditions. What you want on a daily basis is immune-modulating herbs. Elderberry is only mildly stimulating and is acceptable for everyday use. I like to recommend Astragalus and lemon balm to support balancing immune response. Save the echinacea for your children when they first show symptoms of cold or flu. Hope this helps. Mary Born, ND

Thank you for keeping me on my toes. I appreciate you Mary!! I will keep it for my kiddos. See, that’s what I meant when I said research you herbs- clearly I need more info😅 I do take elderberry daily. And I only take echinacea for a week at a time. But I reckon I should stick to the herbs you mention, which I do have!! I don’t make immunoglobulin to fight ENT infections so I’ve been finding ways to boost my immune system. Surprisingly, I haven’t gotten sick with an infection since I started colostrum!! Knock on wood that my body is starting to produce immunoglobulin with my current protocol which is herb heavy. I do use herbs to treat infections with really good success. Thankfully I found this path. I have a lot to learn!!

So much of herbalism depends on an individual's response. Being aware of how your body is responding is a huge part of healing. God bless you and your healing path. @@RowesRising

Whats good for fibromyalgia pain? Please let me know Thank you
@BootsandBountyHomestead Жыл бұрын
@@JustMeeee2if I may answer, you need to figure out the cause of the fibromyalgia, whether it's physically or mentally. I used to have it and chronic fatigue syndrome at the same time. After doing my own research, seeing the doctor for it, and taking prescription meds for a short while, I found that they both are basically a group of problems nobody knows what to do with aka fibromyalgia and CFS. I found that the cause of mine was just stress and being overweight. I actually started exercising in a way that I enjoy, relieved ALOT of my stress, did calming exercises, and BAM, over about 4-6 mths, I fixed it and it hasn't come back! If you can't figure out the cause then I would suggest calming herbs, like lemon balm or chamomile to ease your mind and calm your body down. I never thought I was stressed, but my body told me otherwise. Just figure out what your cause is and fix that, as you would with any other health problems that YOU can fix! Good luck, prayers for you!

Hi Katie. Just a few minutes in but I am praying for y’all. I know there are so many ways for the Lord to provide for y’all. I have an online store and three times a day I have to do something to it that requires the computer to stay awake for about 45 mins each time. I put on one of your longer videos and let it play in entirety each time. I’ve been doing this with your videos since I found out about Aaron retiring months ago. It helps me and I hope it helps you. Maybe others can just leave open a window and let your videos play.

I wonder if comfrey would be helpful or arnica? Have you tried either? Another person recommended comfrey and I have it just didn’t think to use it. Hi Katie. Just an FYI , the one time I added rose hips to my elderberry syrup it turned it into gel. It may have been a fluke but you may want to experiment if you haven’t tried it before. You’re a rock star so I know you got this new challenge.
@RowesRising Жыл бұрын
Yes that can happen! And it happens in tea- the rose hips get jelly like slimy. It’s happened to me with the addition of rose hips and without rose hips. I think it depends too on the berries and how ripe they are. If I get some under ripe berries in my syrup it gels more when it’s chilled- almost jelly like and that’s without rose hips. Most all of my fresh syrups get gelatinous when they are chilled. I’m not sure if it’s because I use less water to make it more concentrated, or if it’s just that the berries I have access to here, have more pectin. I’m curious- are you using fresh berries or dehydrated? I feel like when I use fresh frozen berries I get more jelly consistency. I’ve been making elderberry syrup for 12 years in two countries with different types of elderberry. These PNW berries seem like they have more pectin.
