We are a large family with 10 kids ranging in age from 23-8. We homeschool live on a few acres in Central Texas. With our family size, we buy a lot of groceries, so expect several once-a-month grocery hauls at the first of every month. On our farm, we raise great pyrenees, a handful of livestock animals and tend to a small garden. It's an adventure, and still new to us. So join us! Sometimes we succeed, and many times we don't.

I agree about the packaged deli turkey. Two days and it isn’t the same. I live alone and always had some go off before I could use it. Now, as soon as I open it I take sandwich size portions and freeze them individually wrapped in plastic wrap and put in a freezer bag or container. When I want a sandwich I take a portion and let it thaw on a paper towel to absorb the extra moisture.

Glad you are back to meal planning. The quality of food is always better when cooked from home. I just cook for me, and had nothing cooked to bring for work lunches.Planned on getting take out but I had a frozen pizza so just baked that. Problem solved and I ate something I already purchased instead of spending more money. Loosely planned my meals for the next wk or so today. Have a great wk and thanks for the video!

To keep squash bugs away dilute fish emulsion fertilizer in water and spray them and around them every 10 days. They hate the smell of it. Sold at Walmart garden center $10.99 a good size bottle
