​@@SCRKT007if your dps has multiple hit attacks then around 60% is fine unless you want to go rutilant. If you didn't know this, each hit has a chance to crit so high hit count attacks can possibly not lose that much damage from missing a couple of crits.

I had both atk and spd img boots w/ double crit stats so I was unsure which to use on my dhil. that is until I leveled both and the substats made the decision easier. speed boots won btw since the atk boots decided to roll on useless stats.

While he might have skip past it, Under the Blue Sky is one of DanIL best 4 star LC as the stats bonuses he get from it is pretty high and allows you to build more CDamage.

I'm not 100% sure how the math works, but I think E1 Tingyun (+20% speed) w/ speed relic set (+12 speed) + E1 Yukong (+10% speed) can buff 102 speed Danny up to ~145 speed. Could also run Dance!x3 to go even faster. No need for speed boots on this team, I think?

The short duration of the buffs shouldn't matter much, since fights that benefit from 134 speed are short ones anyway (point of 134 speed being to move twice in 1st cycle, instead of 2nd).

at e2 for dan it doesn't feel like it matters if you at least have 110 speed. If you have a ting with e1+ and dance dance dance you are likely fine with attack boots. I got a luocha with his light cone and an e6 ting with si 5 dance . That said I am guilty of using blade lunae silver luocha XD it's just more fun and when you have blade and dan at e2 with their cones it doesn't matter if it is "optimal" anymore.....they are very dead.

As someone who keeps rolling speed substats, my biggest challenge isn't to get my supports above 141 speed but rather trying to keep Danheng below 140, the moment I placed speed boots on him he already hit 138 speed 😖

honestly showcasing like this is more realistic than those videos where they just run 3 support 1 IL. I personally feel that having debuffers are also realistic in this sense since they're indirect buffers as well.

if you think about it, 500% ATK damage with 3 SP is actually way more efficient than 220% ATK with 1 SP. If you let IL just do normal attack in his second and third turn, you'll generate extra 2 SP, and deal a total of 700% ATK damage on a single target with a sum total of 1 SP across 3 turns. This is also why even in an alternating playstyle he is still very strong. Of course in the real case scenario, other characters have other kit (like res pen in seele, follow-up attack and whatnot), not mentioning supports, so it's not that simple, but it's still something to keep in mind.

You can almost push a two turn ult with lc and bronya if you have bronya go a bit slower and danIL you can hit a non boosted basic for a bit extra energy and then take another turn with bronya and use the booster attack to get more energy if you get hit or kill you can get a 2 turn ult. Though this set up needs a lot of speed tuning

My f2p everyday lineup for him are fire mc, natasha, yukong, daniel. During defensive state to cycle point, enemy can target MC, ensuring yukong & daniel not die lmao

I tried atk vs spd boots on him on MOC 1 for a test and he finishes 2 cycles faster on spd boots. Just make the other units faster than him and everyones above 134 and it's fine. All my good rolls went into spd anyway lol.

So I have DHIL in e2, with s5 Aeons since I decided to go for his eidolons instead, i decided to make his team with Yukong e6 with the asta lightcone, Welt e1 with eye of the prey and Luocha e0 with time waits for no one. I know, most people will say I cope but IL dan heng is VERY overrated, just close to seele lv (on single target), but no way in hell better. Luocha basically carry him so hard. Also his number 1 Yukong in the world actually did die at the end even with luocha. But if you can afford E2 then yes he is OP.

I haven't tested an attack rope but even with his light cone I got an energy regeneration rope since I feel he will have enough attack from tingyun and other level buffs but being able to use his burst almost every turn feels soooo good. I do really good damage without an atk rope and just atk boots Edit: my current team comp Lil Geppy, Nat-doc.exe, Foxian beauty prime, pretty boy Dragon Nuke

Yeah. Just +1 from IL is enough. Except for TY..She generally want to doubled the IL's SPD. But that's more like min-max stuff. From my experience, 127 SPD on IL, 162 SPD on TY with E1. It's very consistent. IL is effectively on 134 SPD. The other units can go with 135+ SPD.

Me, who actually got "lucky" to roll 9 speed on piece with (atk%\cr\cd\spd)... JUST LET DAN SLOW! I just wan't to tell you the difference from my perspective between speed boots and atk% if someone even care. I swapped aeon to signature and speed boots with 11%cd to atk boots with 5-6 cr\cd. So the highest number i managed to achieve on the word boss was about 330k, now i hit for 406-480 (can't tell what makes such gap, probably crit). But sometimes i feel like he is lacking of speed... like nobody need so much damage but u could kill those mobs to prevent them even move.

Everyone should build their characters to have the maximum amount of fun they can, and different people have fun in different ways! Some people like "Unga Bunga Big Number", and some people like to play the Initial D soundtrack in the background while they game. Code seems to like the "Gas Gas Gas" playstyle, which is fine. ...but it is by no means his best. Attack Boots really are just better: you can see it in the damage he's dealing. 2300 attack is a crime, you're basically wasting all of the buffs that he's giving himself, all of his Crit Damage, and his Imaginary Relic. There IS a breakpoint around 2800-3000 where Attack starts to lose value compared to Crit Damage/Damage%, but with Speed Boots, your relics needs to be absolutely GODLY to get to that point. Yeah, 134 speed is nice, but taking 2-3 extra turns in 7 cycles isn't worth it if you're not getting a 3 stack Basic every time, and when you DO, it's tickling the enemy for like 60k. No WONDER Code keeps saying that Daniel's damage averages out with other Main DPS: it's because he's legitimately building him to go fast, deal less damage, and brick on skill points.

Honestly it's not that big an issue. Atk% sub has a bigger chance then any other dps to eat rolls. Combine that main stat atk is 50%. You can easily get that in substats for atk. That way you don't have to eat sub stats for spd and hope all your rolls go to atk%, crit dmg/rate, break. Honestly I'd say you should go for crit rate chest and just go for atk% subs.

@@Kspice9000 The real point is that Daniel doesn’t NEED speed at all. You get more damage by just ignoring speed altogether, and making him hit harder in the turns he has, because he’s effectively taking 3 turns at once. Unless you have an E2 Daniel, with sig Lightcone, you’re probably not going to have enough skill points to keep up with that speed anyway, because at any level of content where you’d ever see the benefit of speed over 7 cycles, you’re ALSO going to need to use skill points for cleansing/healing/shielding.

@@Eclin Exactly this! DHIL needs attack more than almost anything else, once you have a good Crit/Crit Damage on him, otherwise you just don’t get the nuking you want out of him. He’s the best DPS in the game, but also hard to build and play.

Himeko does 220% for 1 skill point, but she is also taking 3 turns to spend 3 skill points, Imbibitor Lunae spends 3 skill points in one turn. That means he has better control when to do burst damage and actually does more damage and spends less skill points in some sense: 500% + 2 x normal attack vs 3x220% by Himeko. Maybe I am missing something... (and then the bonus stats on top)

I'm using him with speed boots and energy rope. Luocha, Pela, Tingyun and Daniel. I have zero problems with skill points, BUT pela have to always basic attack. Which I'm fine with. If he get's hit a lot, then I can cast ult faster and I have points for Pela to use. I'm enjoying him, even though my artifacts are trash.

With E1 TY, you want 127 or 129 SPD. That will put him effectively at 134 or 136 SPD. Mine is 127 SPD so with 162 SPD E1 TY the order doesn't change. The other 2 units at 136 SPD.

Just get 135 speed and as much ATK%/CRT DMG/CRT RATE as possible for your DPS. Also your support has to have enough requirement stat (example ATK% for Tingyun, CRT DMG for Bronya), extra SPD stat, 30% or more Effect Res, Charge rope. Right. that sound EZ if i can draw the stat for my relics

My Dan is doing more dmg than his and I have only 77% crit rate and 110% crit dmg with an S5 Fall of Aeons. It seems 4 pc imaginary set and 2pc rutilant set is better than random pieces to get 88% crit rate and 180%+ crit dmg. I'm still farming to get a Crit Dmg body with high crit rate so I can get a higher crit dmg %.

it means you need to either hyperinvest into one sustain like bailu or gepard and make them able to sustain the entire team with only their ult, in which case you can go sustain + daniel + tingyun/yukong + pela or have 2 sustains + daniel + pela/ tingyun

This guide came in clutch I wanted 1 asta to get her to E6 And as i was at pity 44 i decided to try and get her as there was "no chance" i get a 5* this early 2 pulls later and on pity 46 i get him(won the 50/50 too) I was like damnnn ig i need insane luck to get fu xuan now(i alr got all the mats for her and even boight the herta lc and fot it to S5) I was like ig now i can get asta without worrying ab getting another dan heng 2 pull later (pity 2) i get him again.... Now i decided to try and get him to E2 as it makes him even more op So now i have no 5* lc for him (bc i wasted all the tickets on the preservation one),no good artifact set and no mats😢😢 Ig i will have to wait till fu xuan rerun to get her

I'm kinda in the same position But my problem now is different I have dhil e1 and yukong e5 and I'm at pity 65 I was planning to get fu xuan (until she come, I can save 90 pulls) but I really want to get e6 for Yukong but if I lose my 50/50 to dhil I won't be able to guarantee FX I dunna what to do, if you have some recomandation since you rolled for e2 instead of FX lol

@@dark-lord-itachi-gojoofthe6166 fu xuan os rlly good But imo if u have loucha u can skip her for now In 1.4 we will start getting re runs I think its already confirmed that we will get a seele rerun(not 100% sure if its true tho) So we should get a fu xuan re run before 2.0 I think if u rlly want fu xuan dont pull If u rlly want yukong then u can risk it and go for 75 pity then stop if u rlly need fu xuan(bc after 75 pity the chances get 5* are higher and higher and u should never get over 80 pity if u have decent luck) On the other side if u get E2 dfil its still a big win as his E2 is insane If i understood right After u ult w him u get 3 scales(those special sp) and attack right then So u could do a 3 sp attack->ult->3(free) sp attack And if your focus is beating moc then an amazing dps could carry u just as well as an amazing supp do U could use offense as your best defense

I completly understand that SPD does feels more comfortable, but it is downright impossible to get good speed stats as F2P. Like, I'm literally playing since release and only got 3 or 4 spd boots with main stat, talk about actually getting speed in substat. The new set does help tho.

Even if you put speed boot you'll need speed substats from other gears too to hit 134 for 1st speed breakpoint on characters. And with IL you need him to be slower than other chars on your team if you want the max DMG output so it will be like 134IL and 135 136 137 rest of the chars. Unless you run him with bronya the.n you'll need to run him with 135 and bronya 134 for optimal results

Pulled him by accident with 1 ticket, after committing the sin of "building pity" and I gotta say... He's kinda underwhelming despite my relics having good substats... Maybe he really was overhyped, or maybe it's just that the people expected more out of him. I already gave him 72% Crit Rate 160 Crit DMG, done multiple main stat combinations with him yet he still feels... lacking, and I just can't pinpoint what that is or where it's from. If I were to build him, he's likely just gonna be an Imaginary breaker for me and nothing else.

That's honestly weird ngl since for me, he can just bruteforce any content with the right team (I also like seeing big damage numbers so he definitely feels a lot of fun for me). Kind of a waste of a team slot, if you're all doing is using him as an Imaginary breaker since he uses a fuck ton of SP. What's your stats and build btw? You have to make sure he is atleast at 2700 or 3000 ATK. Is it fast IL with ERR rope or slow IL with ATK rope? What's your team-comp looking like? Are your traces properly leveled?

He's the type to need a good/higher amount of investment to his everything before you can be satisfied with him ngl. Maybe he's not just for you at all. If he feels lacking then I guess you don't think his gimmick of using a lot of sp is not fun at all and I respect that. In my experience, he definitely is similar to Blade where he has 2 viable builds where he either can go fast or slow. I have Blade and Daniel so I do have a bias for them and if people think they're underwhelming I kind of get curious why cause all I see is gold.

Also as satisfying as it is to pop his Ult, it's sad that it's not the highlight of his kit since his main source of damage is his basic attack(s). I gotta say though, I'm impressed that he doesn't seem to need an Energy rope despite his Ult costing 140. I do hope someday there'll be an alternative planar ornament set(s) for him since Rutilant Arena is such a nightmare to min max and farm tho. Edit: I also have a fully invested Blade, and maybe that's the reason why I'm underwhelmed because he has set the bar way too high for the DPS units for me. 😂 I've set him aside to build my Gepard that I got just before I lost my 50/50 instead because he's easier to build and I can instantly get more value out of him and for long. Maybe I'll come back for either DHIL or Yanqing after him.

@@Grayewick Yeah Blade's just too good of a unit honestly; tanky, sp efficient, and deals a lot of damage and not to mention how satisfying it is to use him. He's definitely gonna be better in the future with better buffers and also can be relegated into a Sub-DPS role if he ever gets powercrept. Gepard is really good with IL too, he's completely sp positive and if you go slow IL then you wouldn't have to worry about his shield running out. I do hope you give IL another chance with max investment since he's honestly worth it.

you have to build/speed tune the entire team around him to make him shine, and his LC makes a fairly solid difference since you get ult more often (it lets me use max enhance every turn + yukong skill most of the time). he needs very high investment

About Tingyun though, I am slowly pivoting into the idea that his best support may be Asta especially if you got his E2 because it's really awkward to rebuff him with Tingyun because it only lasts for 3 turns whereas Asta's attack bonus is global and tied to her own turns only. Also, it leads to more consistent play because of the speed buff that if you compare it long-term, should have a similar effect to Tingyun. 12% bonus imaginary plus the potential burst buff from Yukong is also juicy though, and currently she's the only user who can use Planetary Randezvous until we get harmony MC. Harmony MC will be an interesting character to eventually pair with Danny.

Nah, it’s the game itself that is allergic to speed boots. I’ve been farming for Jing Yuan’s relics ever since his release and the only good speed boots I have for him is a 4* one. It’s easier to get better substats with ATK boots which is why majority of players go for ATK boots on their main DPS
