You can teleport somewhere, collect all the resources you need, and teleport back. Your base location only really matters if you're doing something with oil or pollution.

I learned if you want to get acid from the mobs you have to raise that foundation back after leaving the cave so they cant damage, because when i didnt do that, they were somehow able to destroy the purifier through the ground.

I do add gravity pull trap and foundation on top of the hills to distract them on top of the hill while killing them without reaching the purifier

This is really creative! And may I know how to turn off foundation from auto snapping so that I can adjust its height? To me, it always auto snap to other foundation so I can't adjust the foundation height like you.

To my knowledge you can't turn it off. But you can snap foundations to the top of a wall. So if you want a stair like foundation setup then you can use half walls to get that higher snapping point.

@Mitayus1326 I forgot one step. To get the higher snapping point, you need to place a ceiling first. So it goes foundation - wall - ceiling - foundation. I forgot it's actually the ceiling that has the attachment points for the foundation. Also, getting rid of the ceiling won't demolish the new foundation.

you mean from this specific base build style? On this video, it shows that these enemies will spawns on top of the hills only. If you build your purifier and your base underground inside the cave, the enemy attack won't bypass through thick rocks of terrains. They will be confused and won't be attacking your purifier on time. Just to add insurance, keep distract them by building some decoy buildings/foundations on the hill so that enemy will start attacking those instead of the stardust purifier. With this method, you can buy more time to protect your purifier and the base with minimal to zero damage without any major hassle or wasting ammo/materials on enemy spawns. Hope this helps! I usually make a temporary base before I move to new location. and yes you have to eventually somewhat delete the base in order to move... it is quite inconvenient but I will make more tutorial tips video on this cuz I do have some ideas how to improve this...

That fix it. So don't waste your time. I put 17 eclipse cortex level III, after the first boss, purification stopped ( purification failed) , and the cortex was damaged, so I can't use it😢

It seems like the mob figured out a way to bypass the terrain after the recent patch.... make sure you put roof and furnitures on top of the purification. On top of the hill, build foundation and gravity traps to distract them from long range attacking your purification machine. :D

@AquaNovaPlay they are cortex that drop in the world on PVP servers that once you pick up, they mark you for PVP. Once you pick up the cortex other players can attack your base. And once you start to purify these cortex they can continue to attack your base until purification is complete. Meaning that you can't make nice bases on PVP. Very frustrating because I want to play on a PVP server, but build like this
