The servers are so dog right now. its literally unplayable. The fact that the fancy 2 faction pvp server mode didnt have a fucking cap on each side so that 70% of the population on the server was stacked on one side is a damn joke, or the fact that they didnt even bother to fix it. or how about the terrain and mountain base exploits that they only decided to start working a week after it basically broke the counter for 1 side. This game needs a major overhaul like before the end of this month or this isnt gonna be anyone to buy these stupid scam crates.

with the terrain thing it is not an exploit unless you are clipped into the mountain or under the water. This is why they only mention under the water being the thing they are fixing. They have at least listen to the community about mountain bases as if one person can goat hop up the mountain anyone can goat hop up the mountain. They cannot punish or ban players for being smart.

Video game studios usually hire people for the express role of producing skins for the in-game shop. There is no such thing as a "game dev" role that includes all aspects of development. Programmers fix bugs, 3d artists produce assets for the shop. They are independent roles.

They are and have been trying to deal with the lag etc...could it be better and faster more than likely. :( I dunno why it's not fixed but I believe that they do listen to their people base better than some other games i have played. CSGO: Buy a key open a crate get a cosmetic with a very very low chance of a knife. OH: Buy gems open a crate with a very low chance of a vehicle/player skin. Last time I checked cgso is one of the most populour games of all time and they have the same monetization. Also you realise that people who work on cosmetics are normally in a completely different department from people who code the core gameplay right? You can feel the community slipping away from the game, primarily due to the server performance issues and lack of any recognition that there is a problem. It is a shame because the community was generally helpful. While I don't think fomo / gamble crates are acceptable in west regions, they are not required at all for game play, thus a secondary concern imho.

i just played this for a season and started on my second, I am at level 42 on phase 2 now, thought id give the game a try for awhile. really fun game but gets repetitive fast. The gunplay is smooth, the looting system is rewarding but it doesn't come without its bugs. Sometimes deviants after boss battles are unobtainable so you'll have to run the dungeon again, the tamed creatures get stuck easily on any extravagant bases and you'll need to feed them ALOT if you want to breed them. so much so you'll only be doing that " making food runs constantly" this isnt Ark Survival, cmon.. some enemies are impossible to solo and finding teams is more of a headache than anything due to the player count and server restrictions.

to be fair: the whole lootcrate thing is very likely running completely independant from the game dev side of things. Different department planning these things, different people working on it. With their own schedule, likely planned months ahead. That being said the criticism in terms of the lack of communication of the bug fix/netcode part of the team and the glacial pace with which bugs seem to be addressed is entirely valid. The game - especially on the pvp side - has issues that are seriously ruining the enjoyment for many players. It certainly does that for me. Ive tried for two weeks but i just cant interact with pvp events on the clash server anymore. So yea. PvP content came out at least half a year (if not a year) early. The servers werent ready. The scenarios werent ready. The balancing wasnt ready. Im just saying that "how can they release lightforge crates while there are so many issues" is not really a very useful statement. Game dev studios are big companies. You cant treat them as a single person. The internal structures and people that need to deal with the issues we are having are utterly unrelated to the monetization side of things. (Thats also not to say that the monetization side of things doesnt have issues. In my opinion the prices in the shop were way too high for how little we got for our money. And that was before they introduced gacha. Which is a whole other red flag. There is a reason im not spending money on this game. But these criticisms shoudl be viewed independently of each other. Stopping the monetization of this game will not help with the bugs. And none of the people working at the shop side of the game will become bug-fixers even if they stopped selling loot crates)

I have also put a lot of hours in and share the frustration, but to offer some perspective from their side. It can take a long time to fix bugs. Fixing bugs requires development time which requires funds. This game is free. I doubt they have made much profit if any yet. There are certainly problems with communication and crates and cosmetics. But they are in a situation where they need to keep releasing something that people will buy to fund further development. The developers have to answer to publishers and investors who want to see profit. I think we have to be realistic and not want everything to be perfect always. I have been given a free game which is fairly complex and unique and gotten over 100 hours of fun without spending any money. I am pretty happy about that. I am very worried about the game's future and want it to be successful. So I think we should try and be patient and see how they handle the situation before giving up. Servers also cost money to run and set up. They are busy working on and releasing the new scenarios. They have a lot on their plate. I think their main mistake was trying to release too many scenarios in the first year. Just make 2 and polish the game, then add more. But here we are and it is too late for them to change their schedule. Do you think they can really say to their investors, we are changing our business plan now, not releasing the content (scenarios) we spent months building, not releasing any more crates to fund development. Instead we are going to spend the next 3 months just fixing bugs. That would be great for us players, but the publishers don't want to work that way. So I would say remember they are a business and have people to answer to and keep playing and enjoying the game. It is something really unique which I will enjoy for as long as possible. I actually stopped gaming heavily. This is the first game for years I have put a lot of time into. It got me back into gaming. I love the building stuff especially.

Where do I start, Oreo shows that it has just over 700 hours played, I myself have almost 700 hours invested here and without playing the 3 CBT (clearly to have 3 CBT the game is totally incomplete)... Scenarios: that idea that they want to sell us, well... there is no such scenario, why? simple, because nothing changed or well yes, only the game mode but it is still the same map, same content, repetitive and without mechanics that require effort, they invented a "second season" with "higher difficulty" which is nonexistent (novice>normal/hard). Bugs that they never managed to solve that, according to what I've read, have been around since the CBT itself and the poor performance. They keep saying they're "working" to improve the lag on the servers, but this is totally far from reality because with each patch the performance gets worse. They sell us this idea of ​​factions and fighting for objectives (deviants prism) and adding points, but when you go to do the content the experience is terribly bad, from the same public events with the poor performance of the servers and that you can't get the objective because the exit is in a safe zone. The lack of communication is evident with the fact that they keep making fixes and they don't communicate them until after a couple of days. It's incredible how you have constant feedback from the community that indicates each and every one of the existing bugs in the game and there's no noticeable improvement. And obviously the community gets upset because if every 2 weeks or a little more you're adding loot crates to the game while the overall gaming experience is terrible, you're just telling me that you want our money and nothing more. I'm not going to deny that the quality of some of the skins and effects are excellent but it doesn't make sense that in a week a "new scenario" comes out and you haven't given me any information about it, you've only given me the notes for a patch that arrives with "corrections" too late, and the scenario is ending. Ahhhh... but we couldn't miss the opportunity to announce the new LOOT CRATE... really? (this is clearly specified by all the percentages of obtaining the rewards, ironic). The next patch where we hope will "correct" certain things but new ones will appear because there is something that is not missing in each patch and that is loot crates and new and old bugs that mutate due to stardust. It's understandable that a f2p game (well... that's the idea they want to sell us) has to monetize in some way but observing the panorama carefully it only gives the impression that they want money and nothing more. It is extremely important that they really fix the performance problem with the servers because it makes no sense that the simple fact that 20 people meet in the same place makes everything collapse and become unplayable, glitches/exploits, imbalance of factions due to not having limitations to join and that completely ruined the experience because they were not solved in time, they announce "penalties" which are not reflected anywhere. Currently I just want everything to end, wait for the "new content" but if lag continues, I'm leaving because I don't see any sense that even doing PvE content (Silos or Monoliths, even the simple action of taking out the motorcycle or the car, the lag manifests itself. The game has potential but it is going down a very bad path and it doesn't seem like they really want to fix it. PS: I apologize for my bad English but it is not my native language.

This aggressive monetization screams cash cow tactics. Very obvious where this is headed and they aren’t even trying to be sly about it now. 1. Grab as much money as possible raking in highest amount of profits using whatever method necessary. 2. Drip feed content/updates to pretend the game is still being supported. 3. Yea not sure if you watched the live stream. It was so cringe and unprofessional. Then the footage they showed us about new scenario... guess what... it was also lagging in their own test footage. Yea this game is over, it was already over when seasonal wipe mechanic was decided is good idea.
